tonight we decided to sit in her rocking chair.  And lo and behold...

I seem to recall that early in the tread the cushions of seats and benches were suggested as possible locations.

I checked all the cushions in the rooms of the house on the same level as the lost remote...not in the upstairs bedroom of the sneaky wee one.

Aileen

I keep mine on top of the TV about 5 feet off the floor.  My 2 yr old great grand daughter loves the remotes and they are hard to keep out of her hands.   She has figured out how to change channels, change the volume and turn the tv on and off without it.  I was even out working in the yard and she even to the step ladder out of the kitchen and set it up to get up there so she could get to the remote.   I am now thinking of chaining the remotes down.  You might want to try something like that.  Course you will probably have to get up to use it (I do) but it is one possible solution.

I'm tellin' ya, if ya'd offered a dollar for its return like I suggested back on page one, you'd have had it back on day one! Worked every time in my house!

meatcleaver -> RE: Oh My God...Look here! (10/3/2006 8:30:41 AM)

I'm beginning to think we should ahve a whip round so we can buy a new one and bring this thread to a close.

Aileen68 -> RE: Oh My God...Look here! (10/3/2006 8:31:34 AM)

It was a Republican remote.

I lost my friggin tv remote.
It's driving me nuts.

I've lost mine, too.  The new one Comcast gave me for their digital TV box.  Now I can't watch anything!  1,000 television stations, and I haven't been able to watch one.  Don't have time to pick up a new remote, and I keep thinking I will find the old one.

mnottertail -> RE: Oh My God...Look here! (10/3/2006 12:02:28 PM)

Did you ever see the star trek episode where Spock was playing the three dimensional chess game?

Maybe it is time to start thinking outside the box, look UNDER the furniture on the same level, and quit looking for the remote where it AIN'T and look in the rooms that it couldn't possibly be in, like the downstairs freezer and shit.......you got kids, kid.....................

(but it is still buried in the couch, mark my words)

Um Ron...pay attention.  I found the remote way back on post 54.  I'm keeping this going just because it annoys meatcleaver.

I wasn't paying attention either ... but I did finally check out your website, and was going to tell you to check in your cleavage.

LaTigresse -> RE: Oh My God...Look here! (10/3/2006 12:19:11 PM)

We could hide the remote again!!

That was the first place I looked.

I have continuously attempted to get Aileen to play hide the remote with me since the day she joined CM.

She won't even give me her recipe for Pasta Fazool (pasta e fagioli) for fuck's sake, so what chance do I have?

LOL,
Ron

Dice up a package of bacon.  Cook it up with sliced onions and garlic.  Add four cans of cannellini beans along with the goo that comes in their cans.  Add two large cans of peeled pear shaped tomatoes along with their juice.  Squish the tomatoes in your hands as you add them to the pot.  Dump in a leftover ham bone along with any remaining cooked ham from it, cubed up.  Let simmer on low for a few hours.  Add ONE cup only of ditalini or tubetini and let cook for about an hour longer.  Enjoy.  Great with good buttered Italian bread.

OK, you have one me over, can we play hide the remote now?   Additionally, can you send me a picture of your ass?  It really looks like it may be as nifty as the rest of you, from the veiled sidelong shots of it.

Ron
