i've seen 4 pro-Dommes in total and one of them had sex with me (even though over the phone She mentioned strictly no sex). So just in case, be prepared, She might like You enough to go further.

*wincing* I'm sure she didn't want you to make that public either.  It really ruins the reputations of ethical professional dominas who do not cross the line into prostitition.

LotusSong -> RE: Should I See a Pro Domme? (10/11/2006 10:30:41 AM)

I don't see where I said I didn't like pros.  I just want them to cleanup their act and BE the professionals they say they are.  Some do and they are very successful.. Others will see one out of town client every two months and they too, call themselves "pro".

Yup.. as long as a man thinks with his testosterone level.. you'll have bad little boys going to you..  Please make it worth their while.  And remember.. what YOU do reflects on us all.  Pro and non-Pro alike.

the decision to seek out a "Pro Domme" is totally up to the individual. i doubt i will ever get to the point of tossing money away just to experience the "play" aspects of the lifestyle. i am seeking much more than that and what i seek, i doubt money can buy.

We get your point - you dont like pros.   So what.  Cry me a river!  NO one cares.  Pros are here to stay and are gonna keep on having those lil subbies visit them.

It's obvious many like the pros.  But you go on keep writing pages and pages of how much you dont.  We all really care.

Let me go buy you a box of tissues for your next pages and pages of BOO HOOS I dont like pros, blah blah.

I'm beginning to think my posts ARE intelligent after all.

I think the new post about the bleeding after a strap-on session under the Health forum here.. proves my point very nicely.

For anyone that's interested, I did go ahead and see a professional yesterday. Things went very well, I had a great time and I'm very glad that I did it. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice when still trying to figure out what to do.

kc692 -> RE: Should I See a Pro Domme? (11/19/2006 11:24:12 AM)

Congratulations, I am so glad you had a good time.  Sometimes, after listening to both sides of others' opinions, it's wonderful to hear someone that went out and made their own opinion. I am glad your experience was a good one!!

sonny2000 -> RE: Should I See a Pro Domme? (11/19/2006 11:29:12 AM)

There is a downside other then going to a pro who turns out not to be anything of the sort.
Never fall in love with a pro Domme there can be exceptions but most of the time it sucks[:(]

Morrigel -> RE: Should I See a Pro Domme? (11/19/2006 4:36:15 PM)

Quick reply:

I don't get why people are always bashing on the pro dommes.  I pay people to do all sorts of needful things to my body, if I don't have a skillful sub available, including giving me massages, painting my toenails, etc..  Exactly why is it that somebody else's trip to the pro domme wrong, but my trip to the beauty parlor or the spa is perfectly fine?

People pay psychiatrists to listen to their problems, too. Yeah, it would be wonderful if you had a wise, knowledgeable, completely objective and trustworthy personal friend to talk to about all your issues--but what if you don't?  Does that mean you should neglect your emotional or psychological needs until you can find someone to listen and help you for free?

*shrug*  I just don't get it.  Oh well.

But to the OP:  if you want to do it, you probably should.  You know what you want and need better than strangers on a forum.

Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad to have gotten off the sidelines, so to speak, and into the game.

I wish you continued luck, and as all pros are not of the same caliber of person, anymore than non-pros, I am glad your first one seemed to be, so if you hit a lemon from time to time, you will realize that not all fall in that class.

silverthorn7 -> RE: Should I See a Pro Domme? (11/22/2006 3:49:35 PM)

Yes. In my opinion, seeing a Pro is a very good way to gain some sub experience. A Pro will usually be very skillful in the mechanics of BDSM and can get you started in the lifestyle. Plus, seeing a Pro can get you past the laundry list of things you wish to try before you start approaching the Lifestyle Mistresses. I prefer a sub who has had some experience - no matter where it comes from. I also appreciate a newbie who has taken the time to read a few books on the subject and who has made the effort to become good sub material.

Good for you. There are many wonderful Pros out there. Respect their expertise and their willingness to take you where you want to go. It is all a journey - and it may take you to some surprising places.

AcademyForSlaves -> RE: Should I See a Pro Domme? (11/24/2006 9:19:43 PM)

Hi.

I agree. If your new to femdom then seeing a Pro Domme is a good way to experience it because she'll go by what you'd like to try and she'll respect your limits. That's her job to. Remember to tell her your a novice.

1-you'll need to know how to search for a Mistress. you can check your local papers but some are so known they don't need to advertise in papers anymore so you'll want to check the femdom and domina directories like the ones that are listed on the links page on AcademyForSlaves.com because they're the ones most commonly used by Mistresses (both Lifestyle and Pro).

2-When you visit a Mistress's site read over her site page by page and learn as much about her as you can. you want to decide before contacting her if she's the right Mistress for you. That'll save you wasting her time and yours.

3-Before you contact her read the helpful article HOW TO APPLY TO A MISTRESS on GoddessClub.com (it includes lots of tips on what Mistresses prefer) And you'll learn lots more from the free advice columns on GoddessClub.com

4-Getting training at an Academy before seeing or applying to a Mistress is a really smart idea too.

Good luck.
