Dear MasterC46910, Ladies and Gentlemen;

I enjoyed reading your post as to perhaps, see through your mind's eye.

It really is a valid question, as to where the idea of age and the limits where it was proper and if the vast differences was improper.  It is almost as interesting to where races were not to be mixed--who made up those 'civilization' rules as well as to mix with different nationalities.  Compartment individuals for a host of reasons has been an interest of mine and, I am sure it may peak individual's to give their perspectives.  Perhaps we can find who started all this, as to find out why we (in general terms) have so much hate in the world.

The interesting thing, is the baby and through their early years, before the forming of their mind's eyes take hold based on parent's and social circles are and influence them --for good or bad.  Babies are just happy to play.  They are free from adult straight jackets of social and civil expectations, rules and or practices.

Respectfully submitted for consideration,
Lady Hugs

I learnt my lesson on age sometime ago when coming home from a night out with friends, lamented to my sister how we had a good night except this 'old fella' kept hitting on us ...she asks how old he was ...I said 'oh gawd about 40!' ...laughing she says 'sis, my husband is 40 next month' ... eek! I had to do so much back flipping explaining why he wasn't an 'old fella' lol ...

Age has no preference in an ongoing relationship. I lean more to enjoying the company of those that have a similar mindset, enjoy similar music, and such. This doesn't restrict or open doors from an age point of view.

I think the reason this issue often comes up is because there are many young people involved in the lifestyle... A good majority have age limits - "no one over 30/40" type deal. Rightly or wrongly, I am sure that this is frustrating all around.

Fact is, age doesn't matter. But it takes age to figure that out.

As I've said before, my Master is 15 years my senior. He has been mistaken for my father on more than one occassion, just as my father has been mistaken as my boyfriend on more than one occassion.

I like my men older, I always have. As I get older, it's even sexier to me, and as my Master gets older, he is even sexier to me!

I have personally always preferred older men. If they have been mistaken for my father i just say; " yeah hes my daddy" and move on.

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen;

I do like older men--I find them slower than I, when they're trying to escape!  I have time to step on the chain that is uncoiling as they run.  When they hit the end--THUD. [Giggles with sadistic glee]

And, at my age-- any slower, I have to speed up to stop!

Respectfully submitted with a lot of humor,
Lady Hugs

Has anyone else ever noticed how "old" keeps getting to equal much bigger numbers?

I remember when I was a kid and my mom turned 29 and thinking, damn thats old.

Now..........I am thinking "old" is somewhere around 110 or so.....

I've had older partners, younger partners, and the same age.  And I totally agree that it's the person who counts, not the number (my most brilliant Dom was ten years younger than me - the age difference meant nothing at all).

But sometimes when I read this sort of thread, some of the posts translate as, "Why can't I get the hot young chicks any more?"

Or maybe I'm just too cynical.

No kidding...but the cool thing is, those that used to be twice my age, are now just a few years older than me (assuming they are still alive).

I have a problem with age due to my own comfort level, I could not see having a partner my father's age long term, though the man I am currently talking to is closer to my dad's age than my own.  I have always been involved with older males, the sperm donor is 9 years older than I and my husband is 10 and I had a few neighbors assume he was my father and that the little ones in the yard were my siblings.  I also wouldn't go much younger than my current age due to legal issues and my own personal gross out factor as I have helped raise my friend's child who will be 17 soon.

eh. i like older men. my last relationship (vanilla) was with a guy 13 years older. he sort of sucked me in with the whole 'you need someone to look after you don't you?' thing and the sub in me went 'yeaahhhh'. long story cut short: disaster.

so now i'm with someone 6 years older than me. the other night my mother says He looks 25! i think 'urgh!' (can't stand younger guys as sexual partners.)

luckily a GP freaked out a little while ago when i told her my age. she thought i was about 21. so that kind of evens the score

Thought I'd point out the obvious here. If at 49 I become involved with a man who is 21 and then I die at 69 he'll only be 41 when I'm gone. Heck, he can go out and get him a 21 year old too!! Life's a cycle. (I'm just joking - maybe)

Ok, just for the few that think I posted because it seems I can't get the young hot chicks anymore, I thank you for the letters of encouragement and support.  I am involved with younger women.  I was just putting it out to get people to think about it.

i don't believe the calendar is a good judge of anything other than when to start getting cancer screenings, but that being said, i think the way relationships work is where there are common goals for that relationship.  A man in his 20's usually has different goals in life and relationships than a man in his 50s.  Women in their 30s have different life and relationship goals, generally, than women who are 20 or who are 50.  It depends on whether you are seeking a lasting relationship or a more casual one but in my opinion a lasting relationship has to have common goals and age can certainly play a part in that.

I initially turned my boyfriend away because he was 8 1/2 years younger than I was. He was very persistant though and believed the age difference was no big deal.

2 1/2 years later and still together, I'd have to say, he was right. Before I experienced it first hand, I never would have believed it.

I'm 54 and rather enjoy younger men. To me, 10 years younger is nothing. Twenty years younger and that's kind of pushing my limits. Not unheard of, but so far, I find the differences to be a bit much. I've not been with anyone older, or even close to my age, since I was in my 20's

I have a very simple rule about this:

If you can't lipsync (without crib sheets) at least 7 of the Beatles top hits in my car...with nominal mistakes...you ain't the chic for me.

If you know the "secret" of Seargent (sp?) Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band cover, that's 10 points.

(It works).

If a 26 year old man married a 13 year old girl half his age, how old will she be when he is 50?
