And, apparently (from what I am finding) even the surge in suicides in 2003 did not place the incidence of suicide in the military as high as the general population lf the US - simply higher than other similar military personnel - AND - it dropped to a "normal level" the following year.... So - the answer is "no" there is not a high rate of suicide currently in Iraq among US Armed services. ~J
