Fair is fair, the Saints played extremely well tonight, we did not.

Thank you Level.  [sm=smile.gif] I'm so proud of my Saints this year!  [sm=applause.gif]

You should be, Angel. They've been through a lot, and have responded wonderfully. And I do like the team, just not against Dallas lol.

Time to hit the sack here, I'm taking tomorrow off to try to finish my Christmas shopping.

What gives with NEW ENGLAND?

Must say I did not expect to be sticking a fork in the Bronchos.

BAL, CIN, SD all seem to be on the rise.

The Bears Defense seems to be one sure sure variable in the NFC.

Lordandmaster -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (12/10/2006 9:18:15 PM)

San Diego looks like the best team in football right now.

I'm crying for my Colts.  We're better than Jacksonville, but we surely didn't look like it today.  Woo-wee, we stunk.

Lordandmaster -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (12/11/2006 12:52:56 AM)

I don't know.  I would have thought so too, but the run defense right now looks like it needs life support.  You can't win if you give up 200+ yards rushing in the FIRST HALF.

KatyLied -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (12/11/2006 4:01:59 AM)

The Colts are in serious trouble if they can't figure out a way to stop the run, all of the teams know of this weakness now and will shove that ball at them through the run.

I don't think the Bears will be a factor in the playoffs unless:  1) their offense improves or 2) they will be able to win on defense alone, sorry but I just don't see the Bears winning that way because too many other teams have better offenses.

FangsNfeet -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (12/11/2006 4:16:23 AM)

The Saints, hands down, just out played the cowboys. New Orleans defense and offense where on target this time. How's Tuna gonna get the Dallas in the right gear if they plan to win the NFC championship? After all, the Cowboys will most likely have to play the Saints again.

Does it really count as a W if it's against a sucky team like Cleveland?  sigh.  Our big test will happen when we play the Ravens at home.

Yep, it counts as half credit when you win against sucky teams.[;)]

I agree with LAM on San Diego. They look like the team to beat.

Perhaps if Peyton Manning hadn't been so greedy with his contract, the Colts could afford some better defensive players under the salaary cap. He could learn something from Tom Brady, who is a bit less demanding in contract negotiations because he knows he's already making more money than he can ever spend so he'd rather take less in order to have a better TEAM around him.

JackHammer2000 -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (12/11/2006 2:11:11 PM)

I'm a 49ers fan, and have had very few things to be happy about in the past few years.  (sob)

This years seems to hold the promise for a brighter future -- but who knows?

KatyLied -> RE: NFL Sob (or Brag) Thread (12/11/2006 2:16:37 PM)

You have a coach who wants to be well-dressed.  That should count for something, class if nothing else.
