What is wrong with the Jets? I really thought Rex would be dismissed. Sanchez is too expensive, no one wants him, they supposedly shopped him around a few weeks ago, no takers, they are stuck.

Not exactly. They can still let him go and just take a salary hit. I suspect they'll see who's available in free agency/draft, and then cut him if there's a halfway decent prospect. The unbelievable rumor is that they might take Vick, who's already making prima donna demands as though he's a proven winner with no character issues.

If they do take Vick, they might as well fire Ryan and take Josh McDaniels while they're at it.

I still can't believe that Ryan survived. The Jets have a dysfunctional locker room.

But will Chuckie Gruden come back...

Gawd, I hope so. Anything to get him out of the booth on MNF.

Ok. What do all of think your team needs to address?

Dallas.... we have to revamp every o-line posistion except left tackle. That'll give Romo more time, and allow us to eztablish a running game.

I am one of the FEW people around here, that still has a team that is playing in January!!!

The Redskins have a HUGE game in about 2 hours, I am crossing everything, and saying my football prayers.

I am sending much love out to the Washington Redskins, as they face some team from Washington State this evening.

Hail to the Redskins!!!
Let's use our secret weapon, and defeat this team from Washington!!!!!

Let's get ready to rumble!!!!!!!

It's Showtime in DC/MD/VA!

Howdy, neighbour!

Yes, I am hoping for another week (or two, or three) of RG3, Alfred Morris, and some otherwise inspiring football from across the river today. HTTR!!

Presently watching Baltimore topping Indy up the road from us, and hoping B'more wins it.

I'm quietly optimistic ... but this being DC, I can't go batsh--t crazy yet. :)

Do I think we'll get to the Superbowl? I doubt it ... but whatever happens, it's finally nice to see some GOOD football in this town. Finallyfinallyfinallyfinally I think they have all the pieces in place and firing on all cylinders!!!! *fingers crossed*

Well it's been a good run and a banner year for the Washington Redskins.
The best season Washington has had in about 12 years.

Win or Lose, we did win the NFC EAST, and we are in the playoffs.

I have faith that we will pull off a victory today, but if we don't we are still winners, and will go further next year!

HTTR!!!!
Fight for all DC!

And thank gods it's on FOX. CBS NFL coverage blows chunks. They throw FAR FAR FAR too many commercials at you during the games compared to the other networks .... I mean, it's shameless.

And their music loops... zmg it is *so* annoying after the first thousand times you hear it.

Should not have played RGIII in the second half (monday morning qb here)
Hope his knee heals.

Agree....but what do WE know? :(

At least WAS had a winning season (10-6) for a change. That still feels odd to hear after all these years, but should bode well for us next season. So we did pretty good this year, all things considered.

I agree, watching RGIII hobble around, and finally be carried off the field was painful.

The first half of the game was wonderful, the second half....not so much.

I am still proud of the Redskins, they have come a long way, hopefully next year they will do even better and go even further.

I know it's not NFL but did anyone else see ND getting the dogcrap kicked out of them this early?

ND didn't belong in that game.

Damn, I hope RG3 isn't hurt badly. Shanahan should be kicked for keeping him in the game when Cousins already proved he can run the show.

I hope more quarterbacks and coaches are watching what has happened to RG3. Sure, it's exciting to watch quarterbacks like RG3 and Colin Kaepernick of the 49ers but the more you risk the more you stand to lose. Not worth having your franchise QB on crutches just to get one extra first down.

I agree but go a step further...I think RG3 and his like are a flash in the pan phase that will quickly disappear in the NFL and we will soon return to searching for the Brady, Warner, Manning and Marino style in the future.

They should have learned with Vick...running quarterbacks will just not last in the NFL and are not worth the investment...My opinion of course.
