I see you've officially gone MB only.

I don't even know why ... it was just a spontaneous, chaotic act ... or something like that.

NorthernGent -> RE: No politics allowed!! (10/23/2006 1:44:15 PM)

Yeah Ron, he's still doing Ali G with Bruno and Borat, the problem is that the show was based around taking the piss out of celebrities who weren't aware of what was going on but everyone in Britain knows he is now so he can't get away with it. This is one of the reasons he went to the US (and the money of course).

Have you seen the one where he interviewed a top fashion designer? He asked him if he was pleased Gianni Versace was killed to cut out the competition and said he'd heard a rumour Calvin Kline did it [:D]

It sure is - now i can afford my trip to the USA but i need places to stay - any ideas?

Some items for you when you go to the US as one Brit exile to a-possible-nother based on interest rather than tourism
- Wyoming - Yellowstone, Devils tower, a state the size of Britain with 750,000 people - go horse riding in yellowstone
- The black hills of South Dakota, swimming / skinny dipping if late enough in Sylvian Lake, see the Buffalo at Custer state park, Mt Rushmore, Cosmos (really weird place)
- try getting drunk in Utah, and go up into the mountains to some of the meadows, un believably brilliant to see humming birds in the wild in grassland / flowers 2 foot deep. ps watch out for bears, go to Logan area and head east
- early morning in any Midwest City / Town go to a Walmart or a Club Food and you will see herds of people of a size that you will not believe.
- South / North Dakota - empty, empty, empty space, go horse rding and then in the late afternoon  / evening watch 14 year old kids driving cars legally
- West Texas / Eastern New Mexico - will make you appreciate being anywhere else on the planet, but really nice friendly people,
- Rivers in Minnesotta & Wisconsin, catching kray Fish
- actually having lots of people say you have a cute accent - in you case probably additional compliments (big grin)
- Deleware and the small early towns e.g. New Castle which are linked to the 1700s and War of Independance,
- California drive to Yosemiti park, also the Bay area, and wine, wine , wine, Old Sacramento is good too..
- College American Football, Basketball and Hockey - cheep to get in, the fans are very enthusiastic.
- Ask someone why the games has stopped every 10 mins (comercials)
- Going on a Paddlesteamer and watching teachers try to control school kids on the Mississipi
- The "beach pools" in the summer - wonderful
- any small town festival - the effort put in is wonderful
- drive through the country side anywhere on the first day of the dear season and see  - fanatical butchery in action - may not be your thing but it shows another side to the US,

Most of all be open minded and look for and experience the differences - there are a lot - then have a beer with people and discuss, it is very educational.........o yes - in the south go to see the dancing especially in Texas.....................LOL

As for none Vanilla activies................I'm never anywhere long enough.........

Not many of these are "traditional tourist items but each shows interesting side to US

I would say to also eat the "krayfish", or crawfish as they're called down  here. Spicy and delicious. Drink a Corona. Repeat frequently, then go dancing.

Hey!!!  never mind the US come to Canada,  specifically Toronto, Ont.  There are lots of kinky folk here as well as places to shop, shoes and boots to fill lots o' luggage.

Actually I am lucky Master has a shoe and boot thing [;)] and he bought me 2 pair of boots and 2 pair of shoes yesterday.  These are ones I can actually walk in,  we have a bunch of shoes that look great when I am tied up.  Although my favs so far are my thigh high boots,  they are sexy and I can walk in them without getting a nose bleed.
