quote:
ORIGINAL: juliaoceania But being negative is not necessarily inherently bad, the universe should be balanced after all. There is a difference between being necessarily negative about something and polyannish. Negative does not always equate to mean, cruel, and barbarous.... just saying there is a place for everything, even negativity, now we can debate if the negative outweigh the postive around here, but I bet there are more positive posts than negative posts.... negative ones just seem to stick out more (especially if we feel they are aimed at us[;)]) i agree with this. In my mind, sometimes my best lessons have come through the worst of experiences. Sometimes my deepest and most profound periods of growth have come out of the most painful of lessons, through the negative experiences. For once the emotional attachments and baggage are stripped away, (which means healing occured), i can then look back and remember only the lesson and let go of the emotional residue. i believe it is the many stages we go through after an experience, that marks the difference between those who are still (or choose to remain) victims, and those who have moved on to become survivors, to those who have moved on from both of those stages, which indicates a more complete healing and letting go, to reach a state of freedom from the past, and a place of peace. Just my experience. ~smile~
