You can think anything you like of me losttreasure...How is this for secure, your opinion matters not one little tiny teeny bit to me.

I will let all the posts on this thread stand for themselves, I certainly hope Sinergy doesn't change his posts to suit you, but that is his choice, I certainly wouldn't

I told Sinergy a long time ago to quit insulting monkeys by calling Bush one, I prefer to call him a scum sucking bottom feeding lying sack of shit murderer... but I guess monkeyboy would be less insulting than that and more mature.

And what of the scum sucking bottom feeding lying sack of shit murderers?  Do they not deserve better than that?

I don't have a "side," Firmhand, and I don't approve of personal remarks WHOEVER makes them.  I'm sure you've seen me squabble with both julia and Sinergy plenty of times.  But what exactly is your point--julia supposedly insulted you, so it's all right for you to get right down to that same level?  All you've managed to demonstrate here is that you feel authorized to insult someone who insults you first.

That's not Christian, Firmhand.

LaM ... where have I insulted julia?

The "they fit" comment wasn't a compliment.  It wasn't an insult.  It was, however, an accurate observation late last night, as I shook my head in amazement at both of their attitudes and posts.

If you choose to see it as an insult, I can't change that.

benji,

Hey!  No fair!!!! ... I meant before that post!

Yep.  The Freedom of Speech is still working just fine though, judging by this thread at least.

Left or right, good or bad. I'd have to say that here at CM, I've seen worse behaviour overall by some on the left. Sure, some on the right act dickly at times. But overall..... the venom, rightness, passive-agressiveness.....

Am I going to name names? No... if people are too blind or stupid to see how they are, or if others are too blind or stupid to see how those in question act, I won't lose any sleep over it.

I surely don't intend this post to somehow indicate that I'm a lovely saint *laughs*...... but I'm pretty honest about when I'm a dick.

PS- let me say that there has, in recent weeks, been a couple more posters that seem to be on the right that may tip the scales of what I've said.

Level, I have been with you reasonably thru thick and thin, Hell; I remeber serving with you in the Mother of All Wars, the Jessyka Powers wars, back in the winter of ott and eight----

but we part company here, how is it you discern left and right?

Offhandedly,
Ron

Evening, Ron.

It's okay if we disagree, I've never had as a pre-condition to friendship that one had to always agree with me. Especially knowing how much of an ass I can be .

Using "left" and "right" is a too-easy and lazy way of labeling, I know few people fit into such easy boxes. Leftists lean to the left, rightists to the right. More lazyness lol, ah well.

In no way am I saying that just because one if on the left or right (in reality or just in my head) does that mean anything good or bad; as I've said more times than I can count, my opinions are all over the map. In fact, I may start a thread listing them all.

You may be right (I don't keep score), but the very idea of a who's-been-a-bigger-asshole contest between the left wing and right wing of Collarme is exactly the kind of thing that drives most of the site's users away from the political discussions.

Understood, Lam. I don't get a kick out of saying shit like that, and people can go through my posting  history and I don't think they'll find a lot of me doing so, but I'm getting fed up, frankly, and I'm likely to start ignoring a lot of those very threads myself.

Life is too short, and as Merc says, it may be time to step away from the computer.

Losttreasure, the problem with that is that there don't seem to be a lot of "conservatives" in Washington anymore.
Out of control spending, borders, immigration, war, trade deficits, budget deficits, bigger govt., ever bigger budgets.
I wouldn't call Bush a "conservative."
He's been spending our money like a drunken sailor.
In fact, he makes drunken sailors look miserly.

Popeye!
First you vote against a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage and now you're paraphrasing Hillary?
You've come a long way, baby!

Heather, I'm an Independant.
I am fiscally conservative as far as spending our taxdollars and getting involved with foreign countries, trade etc.
As for things like gay marriage, free choice, national healthcare I am a liberal or probably more correctly, a "populist" on those issues.
I am also a law and order person as well as regards our immigration laws etc.
On every political test I've taken I'm always classified as a "Moderate." Right in the middle!

Hello A/all,

I have a job as a highly paid union worker in one of the best unions in the country.  Sometimes I get 2-5 hour breaks in the middle of the day.  Some days I show up and get on the payroll and go home.

Nothing like a nice faith-based presidential administration to turn old-fashioned conservatives into proud moderates!
