Does riding motorcycles and shooting handguns make me a geek?

No, but it gives you valuable Guy Points to go with your big rubber penis. If you can write your name in the snow and belch at will, you'll qualify to learn the secret handshake, good for up to 25% less condescension at home improvement stores and auto care facilities [:D]

i'd say that they CAN be geeky. Old and/or underpowered bikes are much geekier than modern ones. A restored Honda Dream is geeky. Same with handguns... Glock, not geeky. A Dreyse 1907, Frommer "Stop", or OWA pistol... geeky. Cowboy-action shooting? Definitely geeky. Swords and fantasy knives are still geekier, though.

Play AD&D, Merc 2000, and old Avalon Hill strategy games, used to play Chivalry & Sorcery, used to paint miniatures. Read Historical non-fiction for entertainment, Have networking certifications, fix computers as a hobby, used to teach MCSE & Cisco courses....so I guess I could be called Geeky...oh yeah, play Panzer General II for hours on end, have been playing it since it came out -  as far as I am concerned its simply the best computer game ever produced.

Well... "geeks" are circus performers who typically perform stunts like biting the heads off chickens.

"Dorks" are whale penises.

And "nerds" are a tasty crunchy candy.

Look it up. *laugh*

Hee hee. I love you for saying that. Each time my sister refers to me using any of the words above I quote (darn near verbatim) those definitions!

lol, and THAT is why you are a gekk ;)  Welcome aboard!

But, how can you read exclusively fantasy, and ALSO Arthurian tales?  The latter is mythology, not fantasy.

fergus

Depends on who you talk to /wink.

I consider fantasy anything that's in the sci-fi/fantasy section of the book store and isn't related to the future and rocket ships lol.  I've found all or most of my Arthurian legend books in that section.

Personally, I don't think it's either, I think of it as history and biography *smile*

Bless your sweet heart, now I KNOW you is geeky :D

So... members cards? [:D] Or maybe a super secret handshake? Oooh... our very own Rubik's cube! http://www.randelshofer.ch/rubik/virtualcubes/index.html

fergus -> RE: Geeky Kinksters Unite! (3/3/2007 1:01:40 PM)

I think the rubik cube (or perhaps personalized polyhedrial dice) would be most appropriate.

Custom lap-top cases?  Embossed pocket protectors?
