When people put a montetary value on such episodes I think it devalues the people who say they are hurt because it shows they are just on the make.

He owes them an unequivacle public apology, no more. But then perhaps they would prefer, a meally mouthed, behind the hand, out of the corner of the mouth apology and lots and lots of cash.

From a statistical standpoint, caucasians have never been the majority population on the planet.

From a observational perspective, I imagine if white is not the majority then some other color would be.

But that is just me and I could be wrong.

Seems many in society have been desensitized as to what they say and do affects others and the effects it has on society.

I personally blame this origin of desensitization of the Viet Nam war coverage into the home.

Seems for some it is now easier to accept starving nations, genocide, murder, rape and all the attrocities of mankind against mandkind ecause of the constant exposure to it on the media.

One would think this exposure would force people to do something about it.

Speculate on where we would be if the pre World War II in Europe coverage was the same as the Viet Nam conflict.

Second, he's no longer affiliated with North Carolina State University, so he clearly faced some sanction for his comments.

Third, professors at PUBLIC universities are supported by taxpayer dollars, but not professors at private universities. You ought to know that. You might as well say that almost all CEO's are supported by taxpayer dollars "to some degree."

I'm still not understanding your view here. So, your arguing since you can find it on the internet that the response was meaningful. I'd consider the response to the michael richards comments significant. Hell, I didn't even see this until I was wandering around on YouTube and it's a year old.

In relations to your second point. I have no idea why he no longer works there. Your assuming he was reprimanded, but that's an assumption at this point.

And as far as my experiences go State Universities are supported by tax payer money to a large degreee that is why they are called State Universities. So, when this was aired he was working at a state university. Unless state universities elswhere aren't the same as here. So, he was employed by state funds when those comments were said. I doubt he didn't spew this crap to his students before he said it on C-SPAN. Yes, Yes, some of the funds were private to, in the form of tuition. Whichever, that is a minor point here.

My point is FOX, CNN, etc.... etc... if they did run this story must have just brushed over it really quickly because I don't remember the media covering it(could of mentioned a blurb somewhere I missed it), and the call for an extermination of a race is way worse than saying the "N" word which is what this Kramer thing is about.

I just found it interesting that these kind of rants when done by black people aren't covered heavily. Yeah, it'll come up on google but it's not on the network news for a week or david letterman.

One, Kambon is a fucktard.

Two, the response to his comments and Richards' are different, because the two men have vastly different level's of notoriety. Say "Kambon" to a group of people and they'll say "huh?", say "Kramer from Seinfeld" and most will know who you mean.

My view is pretty simple. Kambon is a racist asshole. But you're trying to argue that because the outcry against what he said wasn't as great as the outcry against what Richards said, there's some kind of horrible anti-white imbalance in American public opinion. That's absurd. The outcry against Kambon was significant; the fact that YOU happened not to have heard about it until you saw it on YouTube is--how shall I put this--totally fucking irrelevant, no?

NCSU stated that Kambon was no longer affiliated with them in response to inquiries after his speech at Howard University. I'll take that as a statement that they canned his ass.
