In a recent thread, it was touched upon briefly by a couple of the posters that they had, at one time or another, heard from a dom that all women are naturally bi-sexual.  I, too, have been directly subjected to this proclamation by a dominant or two in the past, and it has been my general impression that a very large number of dominants expect their submissives to be bi-sexual.

It made me curious to see just how prevalent this particular belief is among doms that all women, whether they know and acknowledge it yet, are naturally bi-sexual... and perhaps find out what reason there is for holding this belief.

I have met a few that thought that way.. naturally we didnt last long once that conversation came to pass..but then I have met many who didnt feel that way as well as those who preferred you NOT be bisexual. (they didnt want the competition LOL)

Often times when I hear people speak (or read what they type) I translate "I think" to read "I wish".

i have heard other guys say this too.

I, too, have been directly subjected to this proclamation by a dominant or two in the past, and it has been my general impression that a very large number of dominants expect their submissives to be bi-sexual.

As a straight sub, and in my experiences, i would have to agree that most doms prefer bi subs.  i have read a zillion dom profiles since i've been searching.  Most will say 'seeking bi or bi curious'.  If they don't say that, they say something like 'she should expect that another female might be brought in for play' (or something along those lines).

In short, it is rare that a dom will say 'i am seeking a straight sub' because even if he isn't saying she must be bi, he is saying she must at least be open to play with another female if he so desires.  (And as i have read on here, that does not necesssarily make someone bi.....if they are doing it just for the partner's pleasure.)

It made me curious to see just how prevalent this particular belief is among doms that all women, whether they know and acknowledge it yet, are naturally bi-sexual... and perhaps find out what reason there is for holding this belief.

When i first left home, i lived with a female cousin.  We were like sisters (always had been).  We did a lot together.  We both held menial jobs and didn't have a lot of money and at the beginning, we slept in the same bed because we only had one at the time.  There was nothing even remotely sexual about that.  Even when my daughter comes to visit, she will sleep with me.  Sometimes we just lay in the bed and talk until we fall asleep.  Again, there is nothing remotely sexual about that.

i don't think a lot of guys can understand the intimacy females can share without thinking that something sexual is desired.  i have female friends that i hug, cry on their shoulder, kiss on the cheek....but i have no desire to have sex with them.

Females can be emotional, caring and affectionate with each other...we can show our feelings that way....and again, it has nothing to do with sex.  i just don't think most guys can grasp that concept.

To add.....i am not talking about all guys....and this is just my personal speculation

Red,

The few guys that i have talked with who actually have preferred non bis were because 1) they were monogamous and were not interested in bringing anyone else into the relationship anyway; or 2) they had bad experiences where the bi female actually ended up preferring other females to him.  They complained the girls were really lesbians and not bi at all (which i'm only repeating what they said).

i have been contacted by a lot of bisexual guys over the years....of which i have no interest.  i don't want the competition either.....LOL

This to me is the squeaky wheel is getting the grease kinda of thing....  An overwheleming number of idiots spout off "all woman are naturally bi-sexual" and suddenly this is suppose to be precieved as a general thought amoung Dominants?  No... I would say that it is a general thought amoung Idiots!!!

I personally have no particular belief in this area... because frankly it doesn't matter!  People's sexuality will be what it is.  And what it is will be exercised in a manner that suits the individuals providing the pleasures and gratifications that they seek.  For me it is not a question of bi- het or whatever.... the question is not who you do it with... But are you having fun doing it?

To understand this one only has to understand that for many and dare I say even most men that every other thought is sexual and everything relates to sex for most.

It is as a ridiculous thought to think that all women are either bi- or bi-curious as to think the same is true of men.   For each this is a personal decision and unless it would bring a positive and desirable value to our lives it seems pointless to attempt to become that which we are not.

*rolls eyes*

I blame this stupidity on porn. In porn, all women ARE bi-sexual. It just shows me how much of a grip on reality some have. They're taking porn as a real representation of life. This explains a LOT about most men's assumptions about sex, body image and relationships.

That is the silliest thing I ever heard of...NOT ALL women are bisexual...And I agree, porn makes it seem that we all are..I, personally, am bisexual but know for a fact not all women are...lol

i don't consider myself bi-sexual in that i am not attracted to the idea of sexual/erotic interaction with another woman. But i do have an appreciation of the female form and how seductive we all can be - lol. i think it's a hoot. Fortunately for me, Master is very possessive and has no desire to share me with anyone, male or female.

I only look at other women when comparing them to myself. If another woman started touching on me, I'd end up in jail as self defense is illegal in my state

Hmm,
I tend to think that, deep down, all human sexuality is pretty fluid. By this, the potential for bisexuality exists in everyone, male and female. But, also by this, the potential to desire almost anything resides in all of us. And, as our sexuality tends to be a fairly primary pillar of our personas(at least for many), messing with it too much can cause some serious backlash. If you don't like it, don't do it. If your Dom/me really wants you to try it and it really freaks you out, don't do it.

Next time some twit tells you that all women are naturally bi, inform them that all men are too, and you'd like some other boys in the equation too. Or, tell them that they are idiots and find a guy that isn't.

I think thats bull, that all women are naturaly bisexual. Personally.
They are no more or less likely to be bi than men.  However, I d think that in many places, bisexuality is becoming more of a fashion statement than it is a real sexuality.  Girls tend to flaunt it around (bicurious more than actual bisexual I notice) becasue it gets them more attention.  The majority of men want to see 2 women together, or to join in, its a common fantasy. Girls realize this, and increase their allure by giving men the idea that they have a potential to make these fantasies realties.

BEing bisexual myself, this sort of behavoir bothers me. I am monogamous, though bi, and dont think my sexuality means I have to have multiple partners of multiple sexes all the time. Entirely too many times, I have actually been questioned , how can I posibly be happy with a boyfriend only if I am bi. Obviously I am not a "practicing bisexual".  It isnt a religion, so no I am not practicing.

/end rant

My 2 cents

I love women but I am not "bi".  One of my best friends is bi, but really she is way more les and the other best friend is truely bi.  The three of us have engaged in bdsm  group play and have slept in the same bed at the same time.  There was a lot of cuddling, snuggling and some kissing.  I felt loved and accepted and - well, loved.  But they know and respect my 'personal lines'.  it was a wonderful feeling to be able to be so close physically with 2 amazing women and not "worry" about what might happen or if one would think something was going to happen.  Bi does not squick me, there just are not any feelings in that direction, even tho my first sexual experiences were with 2 female cousins are a very tender age.
If we are ever able to really add another girl to our home, I hope we will all sleep in the same bed and be physically intimate, but that would come with love, not because I want to be with a female. To me that wold be about the person, not about their sex.

I have talked to a few  that thought all women were naturally bi. It just proves how much they know about women. I think porn does make this arguement favor all women being bi as MasterFire Maam said. Porn does portray all women as bi. I have had dominants that preferred bi and some that did not care.

In Western society, it is more acceptable for women to be interested in other women than it is for men to be interested in other men. While I can't quote from any studies to that effect, I've met more women who have admitted being open to bisexuality than I have met men who have stated they are open to bisexuality. Only a fool would take what is at most a somewhat greater tendency and turn it into a sweeping generalization.

These dominants who have supposedly made a baseless claim like that wouldn't happen to be involved in politics, would they? It sounds an awful lot like the nonsense ads and arguments I saw in the last election.

Occasionally I run across men who assume all women are at least bi-curious.  Because I am very vocal in my distaste about even the thought of bi (for myself), most will get around to asking me why.  Generally I turn around and ask them if they are attracted to men.  Sure women have fascinating bodies, but so do men! You can pick up any porn mag.. or heck, even a womans mag and see half naked girls gracing 40% of the pages.
SEEN THAT, OVERDONE!
There isn't that much overkill on mens bodies in the media.. <g> I haven't gotten my fill of them yet.
I think men have that idea because people promote it.  It is not unusual to see a hetero magazine showing two women in naked flesh, giving each other longing looks and touches.  How often do you see two men in an ad, naked flesh pressed together with everything all..perky?
One of the first things I do when getting to know someone really well is ask them if they are attracted to men.  That is when I can bring up my own phobias regarding bi activity, which is one of my few hard limits.

Though I am bisexual I know for a fact that all women are not bisexual. My very straight sister, who has no qualms with my lifestyle, cannot stand the fact that I like both when it comes to sex. It truly squibs her out. Go figure, it's okay for me to spank a lovely female's little tush but that's as far as it should go in her eyes. LOL
It is all a personal preference, straight...bi...gay...lesbian. I do believe that no one should shove whatever their preference is onto someone that does not like it. Ones that think all women are need to re-think and ask. To some it is a hard limit and should be respected.

Of course.  All women are naturally bisexual, and totally hot, and never wear anything but miniskirts and stockings.  Or leather catsuits if they're villainesses.  All men are smooth and debonair with slight British accents, are expert drivers of fast sports cars during high speed chases, carry guns to shoot bad guys, and prefer their martinis shaken, not stirred.

"I think life should be more like TV. I think all of life's problems should be solved in 30 minutes with simple homilies, don't you? I think weight and oral hygiene ought to be our biggest concerns. I think we should all have powerful, high-paying jobs, and everyone should drive fancy sports cars. All our desires should be instantly gratified. Women should always wear tight clothes, and men should carry powerful handguns. Life overall should be more glamorous, thrill-packed, and filled with applause, don't you think? I think MY life is too featherbrained already. Of course, if life was really like that, what would we watch on TV?"
