ORIGINAL: Sinergy On a related note, this thread reminds me of Star Trek 1, the movie. (caveat: the only Star Trek movie that did not blow donkeys was The Wrath of Khan) The United States sends out a satellite called Voyager. Alien life forms build a huge framework around it programmed to get it home safely. Of course, getting it home safely to the aliens involved the extermination of any potentially threatening life form it contacts. This thread sent a question out into the unknown, and it came back wreaking fire and destruction and brimstone on all... Where is Captain Kirk when we need him to save the day? Sinergy But the thread already accomplished it's mission. Michael, if he has been paying attention has learned that: A) Subspace tends to come from a scene involving flogging/candle wax/etc that is "painful". I put that in quotes because it doesn't hurt to me. B) Subspace can also happen (though rarely it seems, for me anyway) from great sex C) Subspace can be occured outside of scene and sex but through use of extreme pain. D) Subspace is far too personal to define correctly and therefore he should make an effort to experience it for himself.
