eeeeeep...that hurt my feelings

i try so hard to say 'imo' or 'imho' or to say in 'my experiance'...

anyway the reason i am writing is i guess i want to know if i come of know-it-allish and snobby...and what i can do to better...

and also if that is a bad thing and why...

Compared to me Crouching, almost everyone here is a paragon of humility.

Just think of it as the same ruse as "You're not a real sub!"  It's an empty, pointless barb thrown when all else fails, intended to do what it did- make you doubt yourself, be a bit upset, and give them far more energy than it deserves.

There's always going to be someone out there you rub the wrong way.  Stop worrying and keep posting.  I think you have more than enough self-awareness of your posting style and will not let yourself get into a bad spot of hubris.

I don't think you come off as a know it all, or snobby. I also think if you're saying something, then of course, I already think it's your opinion, not everyones. If you're voicing someone elses opinion, then I would think that you would say it's someone elses, not yours.
Even if someone has an opinion, I don't think it always means they're incapable of change when differing options are presented and the subject expanded on. Some will stick to their previous views, others will say, "oh yeah, huh...good point..hmmmm".

You are not snobby or come across as know-it-all.....Of course, I know that, because I know everything.

I dunno just my thoughts but pretending you cared about what he was saying for me would be sort of dishonest.   If Master goes off on something I don't follow, I tell him out right I don't understand or if it's a topic that bores me which is rare, I will ask to change the subject.   For most he would probably come off as a know it all and he is very talkative but it never fails that I learn something when we have an in depth conversation.   The point is if the conversation was not compatible it's probably best he's a former.

Where have you been CT, that bare bottom pic was gone a long time ago?  I closed my account on the other side, so I have no pic now.

Edited to add....you can pinch my cheeks anyday!!!

Sometimes, you do know more than others. This is a risk that is necessary to take in order to educate others.

Do not listen Amy.

When someone calls you a "know it all" you can think of it two ways.

Either they feel bad because they don't have your level of knowledge and are thus attacking you.....

OR

They think you are behaving in an obnoxious way and feel it is their job to call you on it.

Unless they are your partner or a trusted friend, it isn't their job and they are sort calling you what they themsevles are.

In both cases, I'd consider it useful information about the person who said this to you. Do with that information what you wish such as you did which is ask others.

I find you to be an interesting and helpful person who wants to share her experience and her opinion. Isn't that what these sort of websites are for?

Sometimes I come off as a know-it-all, but that's because I usually know more than the other person.

Amy, you're one of the nicer folks here, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I haven't been called a know it all, that I'm aware of, but I have been called self rightous, an asshole, and some other things. I just look at the ones saying that and think, damn, I'm doing something right.

True....No, seriously, I love smart women of whatever persuasion. And your intelligence is exactly what they are talking about. Not your fault.
