Oh my.

That's the correct Black Hand, and much warmer on the year.

I've already told you "Deep Purple," from 1968, was too late, and that "The Deep Purple" is not music connected. Wrong stage.

Instigated is the wrong word...but along the right idea.

The Black Hand
The Red Studio
The Deep Purple

Aargh!

Musicmystery -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/18/2010 4:11:41 PM)

It's much easier than you think.

And I've hinted at it so much it's hard not to just give it away.

The Black Hand was founded in 1911.
The Red Studio was painted in 1911.
The Blue Rider started in 1911.
The Deep Purple was a play written by Paul Armstrong in 1911.

My LAST ANSWER is 1911.

LanceHughes -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/18/2010 4:39:35 PM)

DARN!  I was right behind fluff - spent too much time coming up with my next quartet! Y'know, the one I was going to put up just as soon as I typed "1911"and was told I'd won... That'll teach me! LOL!

LanceHughes -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/18/2010 4:46:48 PM)

All had Oscar winners?

fluffypet61 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/18/2010 4:48:47 PM)

i had a different answer in mind.

dcnovice -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/18/2010 4:51:37 PM)

They all feature "underdog" characters?

fluffypet61 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/18/2010 4:54:05 PM)

not that.  You were on the right track when you said Philadelphia.  i'm looking for a location that they had in common.

dcnovice -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/18/2010 4:56:30 PM)

The art museum?

fluffypet61 -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/18/2010 4:58:28 PM)

YES!  The Philadelphia Art Museum.
(Even more specific would have been the steps in front of the Museum.)

Your turn DC.

LanceHughes -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/18/2010 5:21:25 PM)

Singers that got their training in gospel choirs.  (In honor of the celebration of MLK's Birthday)

LanceHughes -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/18/2010 5:39:50 PM)

Close, Lance!  What you really meant to say was that they all sang at the civil rights "March on Washington", 28 August 1963 where King delivered his famous "I Have A Dream" speech.  THEN you're supposed to add: "This quartet brought to you in honor of the celebration of MLK's Birthday."  Sometimes, I'm too fast for myself. LOL!

dcnovice -> RE: What Do These Things Have In Common? (1/18/2010 5:43:24 PM)

You got it, Lance. They all performed at the March on Washington.

Your turn!
