I get pretty good responses from my profile, and I do a heck of a lot of email "reaching out". But things could always be better, right?

So have at it....I would like some input. How can it be better? What sucks? What's good?

No need to email; discussion here in this thread is fine with me.

Thanks,
Bob

I think it's a great profile - lots of info! My only thought is your geography; depends on how many women would be interested in moving there. Also, younger women may be looking for someone younger as well. Oveall, I think that looking in one place for someone is limiting; hopefully you have more ways to find a good match than just here.

I say keep at it and best of luck :)

Thanks, Shayna and ehlovindom, for your comments. Yes, Shayna, I do use means other than Collarme to meet people.

Posting pics of the cats? I dunno about that one. Maybe "pics available on request"?

I think it's one of the better profiles i've read, and if i were looking and available and able to relocate i would definitely write you.

I liked your profile... One question tho. Do you have enough property to take 14 horses, 7 more cats, chickens and a dog? Oh, never mind.. I am not thin... bummer.

I think you have a great profile. I'd not change the text of it at all. Now, the part about adding pix of the cats is a good one. Never underestimate the AWWWWWW factor. Maybe have someone take a cuddly one of the three of you.. I'm way more likely to send a quick note or react well to a note from someone with an animal photo.

Really? Hmmmm....okay, the cats are going in! To me, they (Otis and Daisy) are the cutest, sweetest beings in the Universe. But I was thinking that having their pics in my profile might be a bit like showing off kids pics at the laundromat or something. As I said when I started this thread, I am open to suggestions and this sounds like a good one. Now I just have to figure out which ones to put in.

Also, if you post their pic, you're more likely to attract cat lovers. Besides, what's wrong with showing off pix of your fur kids? :-)

Okay, I did it...added three pics of Otis and Daisy...the cats. "Approval May Take 24-48 Hours".

The world should be a better place for us all by Wednesday. Thanks for the suggestions!

I would have to agree with everyone that your profile sounds (reads?) great. Perhaps you should list some of your fave. books and movies.
Also, since your location is rather remote and you'd like someone to relocate, perhaps you could list some of the activities that you enjoy in the area, as well as some local activities.
Good luck!!

Great profile Bob! The pictures are great also and the cats show a warmness about you. Not a lot of men like cats, they are not "macho". I agree that you need to post in multiple areas. I am sure there is a slave out there who would love to relocate to be with you. Good luck.

Those photos of them are great! I especially love the one with the squirrel. That is so cat! LoL

Bob is as Domly as Robert. Use whichever make you the most comfortable.

Bob,
What a GREAT way to get subs to visit your profile. Critique or not, they went there, read it, and thought about it. I bet you've even had a few message you directly and you have some meetings down the road.

I congratulate you on your marketing scheme!

Marketing scheme? How cynical!! I bet you think the documentary about the 50 year-old Bowflex grandmother is a "marketing scheme", too! Some people see conspiracies everywhere.

Sorry you took this as an negative, I regret I didn't think of it back in the day. I don't get the conspiracy reference, but again, I wasn't intending any. It's much better then those who in the past have posted sad sob stories in a message threads referencing their profile.

Cynical? Yes - and yet to encounter any reason not to be. But in this case, it was honest admiration.

Oh man! I didn't take it as a negative. I was trying to make a funny joke! Sorry for the misunderstanding. I enjoyed your comments and thought they were complimentary.
