GUEST EDITORIAL , Allah or Jesus?

Last month I attended my annual training session that’s required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their beliefs.

The problem Islam has is that it doesn't have a central authority so no one can speak for the faith as a whole.

The Pope can excommunicate any Catholic priest that steps out of line though mostly the Catholic Church appears to cover for them after giving them a scolding (such as the liberation priests of central and south America). There is no one in authority to do a PR job for the muslims.

Why think insular and ask where to stand on this as an American - this is much more global in that we should ask where to stand as a human being of non-Islamic faith?

But I really would love to see someone with an actual understanding and insight into the Muslim faith elaborate on this very topic a bit. As I recall, right after 9-11, a number of prominent and visible Islamic clerics spoke out publicly in condemning the actions of Al Qaidi as being a violation of the true and traditional Muslim faith and teachings.

Anyone with feedback?

Yes, the story is bullshit--as Snopes clearly demonstrated. Capitalizing your speech and affirming your patriotism isn't going to change the fact that the story you pasted was bullshit.

As an American, I am against getting killed for someone's religion. As a human and as a Christian, I am for and against a whole bunch of other things related to this thread, too - but apparently, only a myopic take and view is requested here.

I am going to post this on Lam as an extension of agreement.
I know this is tired and worn-out shit, but it holds true for the governments of religion as well as the temporal governments, since religion has been worming it's way into the power pyramid since christ was a corporal:
