Wow, the things you miss when not reading a thread in its entirety [X(]

Is it bad that I laughed a little?

Tell him he will be punished if he escapes, tell him that includes attempts to escape.  It sounds to me like he's begging more to be dominated than to have inescapable bondage.

MisPandora -> RE: help......my sub thinks he's Houdini (12/3/2006 5:34:57 AM)

Super glue.  Lots of it.

I'd run a close second for surgical staples and monofilament.  They tend not to try to struggle and rip at things when it tears loose a hunk of FLESH.

Personally, I have no time for that bullshit.  Either they want to be in my bondage, or they don't.

(PS.  The asshole safety top/paramedic in me says that it serves you damn right for not being responsible and walking away from a restrained individual (not just a room away, but OUTSIDE) that he struggled and escaped.  The last person who did that wound up with a dead body in her dungeon and had to chop him up and put him in a dumpster somewhere.  Let's not do that again, shall we?)

He encourages me by saying better luck next time, but I still get frustrated.

He wouldn't be getting shit from me playing those games.  I'd show up for a date with someone else, say "Better luck next time" and take off, leaving him in the dust.  No one needs that sort of disrespect.

If I have problems, generally, I will go to my family, and either take their advice or shut up.  I don't tell half the story, entice random people to ask questions, turn around and tell a different story, not take the advice, complain about it not working, ask more questions, still not take the advice, ad nauseum.

That's drama.

Thanks Benji.  It's about time someone calls bullshit on this carrying on here on the boards.  I get tired of putting forth an effort for people that just want to start nonsense and don't really want to hear what anyone has to say.

If you want useless, unfunny posts, go to anything involving Female Supremacy.

I agree.  Specifically, go to the posts and "debates" on Female Supremacy which are instigated and perpetuated by men who cannot handle the idea, and thus feel as if they have to screech like angry little parrots every time it's mentioned.  [:'(]

I just read the whole thing in its entirety and laughed most of the way thru it.

Except when benji got bashed, that got me a wee bit annoyed. Let's just say that if benji were a girl puppy I would be making a trip to Toronto. Even being male, I am severely tempted on occasion.

I have never understood why people do not see the not so fine line between being a doormat to all, and submissive to that one speical one that gains that devotion and trust. Personally I do not want someone that runs around kissing ass to everyone that declares themself  Lord, Lady, Master, Mistress......etc etc. I find intelligence and humour very appealing. Part of my perception of someone's intelligence is being able to see thru the bullshit and call a spade a spade. Being able to use humour to do so is even more appealing to me. If those qualities did not exist I know I would be bored to tears.

I am not going to bash the op if that sort of bondage play is what thrills her and her submissive, it's not mine, but whatever floats the boat, bunches the panties, yada yada. The rather unintelligent drama that seems to reaccure over and over again I just chalk up to lack of intelligence or a, not so hidden, pay attention to me, masochistic streak on her part.

Some of us don't know Benji, and don't find random personal attacks on any other poster amusing.  I can tell by the way people with thousands of posts are talking that his thread-jack here is based on past events on this forum--which means I automatically don't care.  I am not interested in the weird baggage carried by Veterans of the Cyber Wars.  If he wants to bitch at her about posts she made months, weeks or a year ago, he should do it in private, and leave the present thread alone.

This thread was not melodramatic at all; it was a simple topic about more secure bondage.  And anyone who was not carrying thousands of posts worth of BS forum luggage could see that clearly.  There was no "drama" until he created it.

This is exactly kind of behavior that perpetuates soap opera shite on a board, in my opinion.  New people are coming in all the time, but everyone who's been "watching the show" since last November has already decided which actors are the Good Guys and which are the Bad Guys and are still pissed off about something that the drunk writer that was fired in February wrote for the Christmas episode.

Ugh.  Speaking of melodrama.  [:'(]

LaTigresse -> RE: help......my sub thinks he's Houdini (12/3/2006 7:05:49 AM)

Uhmmmm, I think you miss the point. It's the people that really do appear to get pissed off that create the drama and get laughed at. For someone like me they are entertaining in a "gory car wreck one cannot help but look at" sort of way.

There are some of us that have spent enough time reading posts to see a pattern in others. Some of those patterns create respect, some create a friendship of sorts, and many create a feeling of "damn, I sure am glad I don't have to spend time with that person face to face!"

I do know that those that declare themselves to be dominant and yet repeatedly have temper tantrums and attack others on a personal level loose my respect. Then there are others that have manners that have gained my respect, some female and some male. I wish I could spend real time with these people.

I sincerely doubt that benji gives any of this enough validity to even come close to getting honestly pissed. He will have to speak for himself but I know I certainly do not.

As I saw on a TLC commercial, "Merlot and email don't mix", very poignant in its simplicity, no?  Nobody should post while drunk...

Yet on the other hand, it is only an internet forum, so that's somewhat different.

I can see both sides, so when I say I laughed, I just appreciate humor, it's not a direct assualt against any individuals, or a direct support of other individuals.  Frankly, I'm that person who laughs at my own Daddy (not a BDSM term, I mean the man whose sperm fertilized my momma's ovum) stubs his toe on the solid wood dining table.  You've seen torture, you must know the pain involved with a stubbed toe, all the hopping around and profound ability to create all new expletives and whatnot...I still laugh, and I adore and love him.

So, yeah...the chances of me not laughing at the textual misfortune of a forum member, whether I know them, like them, don't know them, or don't care for them is all realtive, there's just no chance that I won't sit here laughing if something said is funny.

I don't think that perpetuates more drama, it just makes my day a bit brighter, is that so wrong? [X(]

Everyone, regardless of the relationships here, should take what occurs on the forums with a grain of salt, life's too short to be mad at a screen name [:)]

I see.  So page after page of annoying, meaningless off-topic BS that has nothing to do with the thread topic, is completely personal and petty sniping, and is related to something that was posted months or years ago...is considered "entertaining"?

Wow.  Very kinky.  [8D]

orfunboi -> RE: help......my sub thinks he's Houdini (12/3/2006 7:25:37 AM)

Lighten up already, Benji's posts are one of the only things that make these boards readable for me.

The op asked a question and got other peoples opinions. That's the main point behind the forums. Some people offered advice on how to keep the boy happy and tied and other's offered advice on how to move on and kick him to the curb if he doesn't listen. Now it's up to her, what, if any of the advice she takes.

No one had gotten really nasty, that i have seen, so why would the mods yank anything.

orfunboi -> RE: help......my sub thinks he's Houdini (12/3/2006 7:33:45 AM)

The thread he referenced was on the same subject, but not by the same poster....did you even look at the link before you attacked him for it?

Mine haven't been... but my subs know that if I tie them up, it's because I want them tied up. Purposely escaping (not to be confused with showing me that a knot came loose or writhing a lot) would annoy me, which would either end with the sub being punished, or dismissed (depending on the reasons and how new the relationship was). I can be playful (at least I think I can [:D]), but I have zero tolerance for bratty behaviour (which is what purposeful escape means to me).

I have to agree with this. Making an attempt to escape from being bond is a show of disobedience. It is the same as trying to escape out of doing something that the Dom/me orders the sub to do. I haven't been tied up very often, but there was one time where I came lose when I was wiggling around in joy/pain. Even then I felt pretty bad about it.

I didn't "attack him" at all.  And I was not referring to the link he posted to a chastity device question.  I was referring to the personal insinuations he was making about some post or posts made by the OP in the past, and the "drama" of her personal life.

It's that kind of soap opera shite that I object to, and that I don't want to hear about in a thread which is otherwise interesting.

Re - Benji

1) Do not get into a debate with him. He possesses such wit and perception that it is not worth the inevitable kicking you will receive. He is a master of such discussion, indeed it could be said that he is a master-debater, to whom even the best of the rest (ie, me) are but pale reflections of his penetrating humour. Not bad for a dog, really. Even more impressive for a Canadian.

2) If you would prefer not to read Benji's apposite comments and occasionally witty and occasionally caustic posts, then you do not have to. You could skip over them, and any reference to them, or you could even block them. For most of us though, he rarely barks up the wrong tree, (canine reference there, did you notice?), and is highly amusing in a way which keeps the boards relieved of melodrama and the various forms of bovine excrement oft deposited here.

We now return to our regular programme "How Do I Tie Someone Up Who Doesnt Want To Be Tied Up"
