Hi Morrigel I'll emphasise I'm not a structural engineer here first! The securing points need to be, well secure. Stud walls are not very suitable for this, as even with screws and the special rawlplugs made for stud walls, they are not as good as bricks and mortar. I should think a few good sized screws - say two/three inches, into a brick wall with a rawlplug in place would secure an eyebolt well enough. There are also (in the UK at least) special wall mountings for securing guns with when one doesnt have a gun cabinet - they have special screws with them, that need a special screwdriver to remove. Floor mountings again, rely on the strength of the floor - as do ceiling mountings; you would have to go for a joist in either case, rather than a floorboard or the ceiling boards (whatever they're called). I suspect a metal bedframe would do just as well too though. The waxed rope!? Now, if I knew where I could get some I'd have it! The stuff I saw was what my dad brought home from work, and it was a bit difficult to ask him about it much! Its weird stuff though - its sort of slippery, but the wax (I assumed it was wax from the feel of it), meant that one could bend it into any position, whilst the rope itself was still flexible enough to be rope for knots etc; and when a knot was tied in it, the wax meant that the rope really stuck in the knot, making it impossible to remove. Zip cords are available from home supplies stores over here - I guess Home Depot over there would have them, under "cable ties". They only work one-way, and yes, scissors are needed to remove them! The electric thing - now, though I scraped by some miracle a B at physics in school, I'm no expert! But as a guess, I would say that if one connected the two wrists with a wire hooked to, say a car battery, then when the two wrists came together then the circuit would be completed, electric would flow and !!!!!!. The electric dog collars - never used one, never seen one except on the net. There were a few videos of "Jackass" type scenarios on DiannaVesta's latest thread however, by which I'd say they were very effective! E
