Personally, I delete without replying because I don't think my profile could BE anymore cut and dry even when I am looking for something, however, I constantly get tons of emails, the vast majority from people who write the same thing and don't qualify at all. Like now. My profile says I am not looking for any thing outside of friends, yet I get emails such as: "I am a 43 year old submissive who is married, so discretion is a must. I would love to serve you. I live in Ireland but I can maybe meet you some day. I have cam and will give you my phone number for phone domination if you desire. Please Mistress I have longed to be dominated by someone of your beauty for a long time." So no, I don't reply. I block that BS and delete it because I don't like illiterate people, and if you can't read the profile on the internet profile based community, you are either selectively illiterate or too into yourself to be a real sub.

Maybe since they are new, they are just trying to get their bearings and your emails are too overwhelming for them? Or maybe since they are new they are not sure what to say....why not back off the freshmeat stuff, and give them time to get adjusted? just a thought.

When I first joined collarme, it was like my mailbox exploded. I could barely read them fast enough let alone reply.

Yes, you might want to try the ones that have been on for a month or two. The new ones do get hit on the most. After they've been on awhile then, if YOU'RE "real' you can really make a difference. I feel like an editor sometimes, reading through the slush pile sometimes. A kind one, since I do try and respond to everyone, even if it's in the negative. But I've certainly had my disappointments, sometimes severe, in subs/slaves I had such high hopes in. It happens. Part of the process.

I think often times people are interested in the lifestyle or have the stirrings but are still unsure of what exactly it is that they want. It is still unfamiliar and scary. They create profiles, and poke around a long time before they feel ready to meet up with someone. Maybe they think they are ready but then chicken out. It's a big step. I have been told I was fake when the profile stated that I had a partner and was just here to chat and make friends. I guess if you cant offer what the other person wants, that person may think you a fake.
