I had a thing for gasoline smell, too, until one day I was filling my car, WITHOUT keeping a grip on the pump handle, and while I was talking to the hot guy next to me, the hose pulled out and rained gasoline on me.

I couldn't get the smell out of my hair for days. End of that "thing." lol

I think I might have the winner here....

I have an acquaintance who is a surgical tech/OR nurse in Amsterdam. About a year ago, he told me that the latest fad was professional ladies (remember, it's legal in the Red Light District) coming in for voluntary ostomy insertion (you know, they make a hole from your outside into your inside, and you wear a bag on the outside to collect what comes out from the inside) because there were gentlemen there who were willing to pay a lot of Euros to have sex in the ostomy opening. Really.

I can't back this up with statistical data or proof, but it's what I was told.

Let's see..... most unusual.....

A couple of the strangest i've heard have been someone wanting octopus tentacles moved over a body,
especially nipples/face and genital area.... another wanting animal poo in their diaper....
One guy i know personally has a thing after walking his dogs where, if one of them poops, he sniffs the baggie
before tossing it.

Now let me here those "squiiiiiiiicks". lol.

I have one squicky fetish to share, though compared to some I've read it's not as bad(mucus..ew). I work at an adult shop and we have this video called "Bleeding from the Ass" actual title. The health factors of that are too atrocious for me to even really contemplate. The cover is pretty rough too. *bleh*

My personal thing are noses. Big awkward, pointy, sloping, even hawk-like noses. I have no clue why.

I also have a thing for dork/geeks. The 'Geek Squad' at Best Buy is like a fetish show to me.

The rest of my little quirks don't get snickers from my friends, so I guess those are more mainstream.

Gasoline? I haven't had a car for so long, Iforgot that smell. And for the smell of a wet Pavement, I remember that smell as a kid, and would NEVER forget it. It was a nice Clean smell, like washing all the filth of the City away. This HICK town I live in, would NEVER have that smell...like my Philly did.

I have various knifeplay fantasies that if I acted out would very likely be lethal. I'm not entirely sure that counts as a fetish.

I've always been a little confused by the whole stinky/skanky/manky fetish stuff around (ie smelly feet, farting, etc), but whatever.

One that's always amused me that a friend mentioned a while back was an story in one of the Marquis de Sade's works with a guy who got off on tying prostitutes up on their beds whilst they sleep and then watching them fall out of bed when they wake up or something like that. As a fetish, that gets 10/10 for obscurity (fictional or not).

It's just very very classy. A person that takes the time to strap on a garter belt, line up the heel, keep the seam straight all the way up and attach it to the belt.
Obviously they care about how they look under their clothes, even if they are the only ones to see it. It's like wearing silk underthings to do the shopping...just very decadant.

Well, as far as my kinks and fetishes, I'm pretty conventional compared to some, which is not good or bad, it just is. But over on Bondage.com they have a fairly extensive BDSM checklist and under fetishes they list "armpit sex". Now since I've never seen nor talked to anyone with this fetish, I'm not sure of the psychology behind it, but ARMPIT SEX?!?!?! That's gotta be right up there for unusual. Not bad, just...well.....unusual.

i think some are going to laugh at this one, ever since i was a little girl i have had the unusual fetish of the smell of brand new tires or the smell of the rubber soles at Payless Shoe store.
