yes, and that's why you are a jem rather than a female poseur sub, which is just as common as poseur dome/top.  But still how many women do you know "claiming" to be sub/bottom that can, on their ass, take and enjoy as much and as hard as YOU do?

see the difference?

Whoa, hold the phone there big fella.  Are you saying that those of us with wimpier nerve endings are less submissive than those with kevlar asses?   And here I thought submission came from within.  I know for sure I would not enjoy what Celeste does, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't do it if I had to, nor does it mean anything about my state of submission.  I think you are equating sub with bottom with masochist, which is not necessarily the case.

Uh oh, poseur is a pompus way of saying un-twue too isn't it?  Dum dum dum....(drum roll before the subs devour him).

I vote we do a nice fillet with lemon sauce. [:D]

LOL it's a pompous way of saying un-twoo, or fake.

No need for devouring; I've already had my dinner.  But he is just a little bit off in his supposition. [;)]

Would the lady care for a side of Fava Beans and a nice Chianti?

HatesParisHilton -> RE: How do you decide if you are compatible? (12/30/2006 11:42:14 PM)

no, I'm not.  I am speaking

1:  of people that present themselves (as loving hard spankings) a certain way in their profiles as opposed to those that do not,

and

2:  (avoiding the "twue" crap since I hate that and wish the term had never been coined) speaking of people that spend hundreds of $ on outfits for things like the Folsom Fair in SF but it's all for "show".

Now if you wanna fillet me for that, hey, have at me.  But if you've been to those fairs you know what I mean.

And frankly there ae poseurs in every walk of life, so I don;t think it's pompous to use the term.  I think it's pompous to think that just because kink is special to you/me/us that poseurs DON'T exist in the tableau.

Never tried fava beans, but the Chianti sounds heavenly!

ownedgirlie -> RE: How do you decide if you are compatible? (12/30/2006 11:47:55 PM)

Thank you for clarifying.  Your original post on the subject seemed equate submission with the ability to enjoy hard spankings.

I have no desire to fillet anyone.  Just wanted to know if I was understanding you right.

I haven't been to such fairs, nor do I buy the outfits, lol.  And the day I claim to love hard pain is the day my Master can patent his magic wand.  [;)]

Parlez vous Frankenfruter?  My french is a little rusty, but I do relate to that it's tough having what was recently BDSM gear hit the trend of teenage girls and those who don't mean a bit of it.

HatesParisHilton -> RE: How do you decide if you are compatible? (12/30/2006 11:55:01 PM)

thank you for your equanimity, owned.  I appreciate it greatly.  it's n short supply this new year's ever round the world.

and I'd never equate submission with pain tolerance, just to assure you we are on the same page there.  I've known many people whom could take 60 raised welts on the ass but not ONE harsh word nor even discuss relationship needs.  Personally I'd rather in some ways have the relationship discussion with less harsh (or no) spanking, but "submission" is a dicey term, an umbrella term that has too many sub categories (no pun intended).

a woman that can be patient and silent with a man who eats vindaloo then farts in bed all night is far more submissive than any woman with bruises on her arse...

(I addded that to make you laugh and ligten the mood but actually believe it too)

That's FrankenFURTER, you swine!  LOL

But only on Rocky nights

We might know some of the same people, ha.  Nah, I know what you mean, and I appreciate the clarity.

Just had to laugh at sub categories, lol.  But yes, in my case, the spanking bit is secondary to the M/s dynamic. It's a way for him to have some fun, once the relationship is on proper foundation.

I had to look up "vindaloo" but it sounds so delicious, I'd be staring at him sweetly, begging for a nibble.  And, well, my Master is a man.  No need to say more about his sleeping habits, lol.

And btw, I hate Paris Hilton too. [;)]

Do you follow them home?  How are you sure?

HatesParisHilton -> RE: How do you decide if you are compatible? (12/31/2006 10:09:22 PM)

"Do you follow them home?  How are you sure?"

I'll ignore the sarcasm of that reply and answer directly -

As I have been follwed myself and deem that nutbag behavior I never follow anyone and would be leery of anyone who did such.  Male or female, and you probably know damn well women do such as much as men.

As for how I'm sure, it's not that hard.  Some people play even at casual "non kink" parties and if you are friends with the male you see what the woman "accepts" from him (her "partner" or lover), and how hard that is, versus how much harder she goes with a stranger when their is the exhibitionist glee involved.

Then you get to hear about how she doesn't go that hard for the lover when you share drinks and woes with him, and you saw yourself what she does with her presumed "special one" and what she does with other people.  Just like nilla women that dress up for people other than their hubbie or males that spend money on everyone BUT their wives (both equally lame, no gender bias, both genders have equal apogees of gifts to give and equal felonies of relationship pitfalls; neither is ethically or morally on higher ground, EVER).

The "I've known them in r/l" bit also applies to them and their friends RE "people that spend hundreds of $ on outfits for things like the Folsom Fair in SF but it's all for "show"", in 2 countries and more than several districts in both countries.  You don;t have to follow anyone when they end up in your own social circle, you see what they buy and wear to "show off" and then you hear the scoop (or actually see it).  This is true of men as much as women, again.

Happy New Year.

RedSavageSlave -> RE: How do you decide if you are compatible? (1/1/2007 8:27:21 AM)

To the OP:

I was in a relationship with my previous Master that started out very heavy intense D/s turning to M/s. We were together for 5 yrs. During that time, life kept getting in the way and He did not have the time/energy to continue holding onto a D/s mindset.

I was basically left to my own devices for the most part. Due to this..our relationship became more vanilla to the point of D/s becoming non existant.

Now..understand..I loved this man with my whole heart. He was a good, honest and honorable person who took care of me as best He could. However, I realized that no matter how much I loved Him...I could not lose what I felt was an essential part of myself. I walked out of the marriage and the collar and have been searching now for a year and half for a new Master who will not be prey to the same "lowering of interest".  Granted, I cannot guarantee that a new owner will not end up the same..but at least I am more aware of the signs that I should have seen before.

jcolbert14 -> RE: How do you decide if you are compatible? (1/21/2007 11:01:11 AM)

I base it on communication before any official collaring.  I also need to feel some kind of physical attraction to my Domme.  I have a weird sense of humor and I also need to know if She will like it or not.
