ALL CAPS SHOULD ONLY BE USED FOR BRIEF PORTIONS OF TEXT, TO EMPHASIZE A POINT, BUT DUE TO ITS ILLEGIBILITY, LONGER SENTENCES SHOULD BE WRITTEN NORMALLY OR IN BOLD.  OTHERWISE, IT COMES ACROSS AS SCREAMING, WHICH IS GENERALLY NOT THE PURPOSE OF A BLOCK OF TEXT.

YOURS,

BENJI

One from William Safire:

Avoid stringing prepositional phrases together unless you are walking through the valley of the shadow of death.

To a grammarian, but not a Shakespearean, a double superlative is the most unkindest cut of all.

Consider your reader and be careful of using difficult to decipher colors.

"It's the same thing," he said.

Don't join independent clauses with a comma, use a semicolon.

LOL! Wired used to do stuff like that, and I was always impressed that they could give you computer eyestrain when you were nowhere near the damn machine!

Due to the fact that "blah phrases," short flocks of words that don't say much, interfere when it comes to the matter of communicating clearly, it is of importance that in the event that one sees such bland phrases creeping into one's writing, that one takes steps to cut such phrases from one's writing to the degree that one can be well understood by readers who undertake to read such constructions.

Never conclude your writing with "The End."

....I'm finished.

Homage to Will Strunk:

Completely omit any needless or unjustified words or phrases that clutter up your written sentence without really contributing to its meaning.
