I keep having to edit my answers, which distracts me from sorting my collection of state coins.

Emperor1956 -> RE: Ron's Electric NumerUnotronictifiatopiler (1/1/2007 9:52:21 PM)

To Stef (because she's clearly a noir girl):

It was a sunny day in the city of Angels.  I don't know why they call Milwaukee that, but they do.  Or so I read.  I was listening to the rain pitter-pat on my desk top and reading my name off the glass door to my office.  No matter how much I drank, it still said "6591rorepme".  Some rats down at the 37th precinct will tell you that means "loser", but I know a few sheilas who will confirm it for you.

I was feeling ok.  I had six slugs in me; five were bourbon and one was lead, but they all burned hot and sweet as they went down.  Or in.  Or down and in.

I was tired of ending my sentences with prepositions.  Then, in she walked.  She had stems that went clear from the floor up to her hips, which made her look bipedal.  She was all curves, and I was a '46 Willys without brakes.   My eyes slid down her dress.  Yecccch.   My jaw dropped.   I picked up my jaw and my eyes.  This girl had melons that were begging to be blackjacked, or whitewashed.  I don't know, colors aren't my strong suit.  And my strong suit was at the cleaners anyway.

"Guava, senor" she said.

"I'd have thought casaba." I quipped.    "So what can I do for you, babe?"

"Chew can help me find my leetle sister" she husked in a voice that made me want to chew on her like an ear of sweet corn.  " I ham so worried about her."

I knew then I'd wished I spoke Latin, as I was taking a trip south of her borders.

E

Now E's answer was WELL worth 27 seconds of applause!

dcnovice -> RE: Ron's Electric NumerUnotronictifiatopiler (1/1/2007 10:08:35 PM)

We now have a quip for each day in February.

darchChylde -> RE: Ron's Electric NumerUnotronictifiatopiler (1/1/2007 10:56:19 PM)

just thinking about it makes all the bones in my skull ache

dcnovice -> RE: Ron's Electric NumerUnotronictifiatopiler (1/1/2007 11:03:34 PM)

We could issue a press release about how well this game has taken off.

I am reticent to define this as a tautology, but in the words of the 23rd Psalm---

darchChylde -> RE: Ron's Electric NumerUnotronictifiatopiler (1/2/2007 9:48:49 AM)

when wil Jack Bauer just simply die?

mnottertail -> RE: Ron's Electric NumerUnotronictifiatopiler (1/2/2007 9:53:54 AM)

It may be he'll die upon the point of his silver wedding anniversary....But who is to say?

dcnovice -> RE: Ron's Electric NumerUnotronictifiatopiler (1/2/2007 10:47:35 AM)

What a day! I'm still 50 trombones short for that wretched parade, and I haven't a clue where I'll find them. Also not sure how we're counting in the game. And I don't think anyone was wired for my press release joke. Oh well.

Plus, this post sounds whiny instead of funny. Sigh...

darchChylde -> RE: Ron's Electric NumerUnotronictifiatopiler (1/2/2007 10:59:25 AM)

Janis, Jimi, Jim, and John were the Post Happy-Days Mount Rushmore, when the world no longer needed to be seen as bright and shiny... they went on to start a new club, but John was too old for membership and they let the late comer Kurt in instead

RedSavageSlave -> RE: Ron's Electric NumerUnotronictifiatopiler (1/2/2007 11:48:07 AM)

come up with some sort of witticism or comment based on the number which comes to you, without directly stating the number... like mine was referring to Club 27, meaning that in history, many rockstars died at that age

so the next number would be 28

i hope i clarified it enough, but i came into knowing what it was a bit late myself

RedSavageSlave -> RE: Ron's Electric NumerUnotronictifiatopiler (1/2/2007 11:58:10 AM)

Ahhh thank you :)

so this is basically a thread to train us in "Ronisms"

cool~

Pengagram - 'Five Pointed Star'
Sextagenian - 'One who has attained an age beyond 60'

Satan in frozen lake - 'bizzare depiction of the Dante's ninth ring of hell, in the Divine Comedy'
Tenth ring of Hell - 'Where Ron deserved to be at that particular moment in time'
Decimated & Eleventh Hour - 'Ron saving himself from said ring'
Dozen - 'English term for 12, loosely based on French douzaine, drawn from Latin douze'
13th parallel - 'something I just made up, incorporating an unlucky numbered line General Failure might be holding'

Washington's Birthday - 'He was born February 22, 1732'
A sub aggressive enough to please his Domme in bed - 'A Catch 22'
Game "Catching" on - 'Another Catch 22 reference - I'd been beaten to a 21 answer, and the 22 answer beat me as well, though I didn't realize it till the next day.  Talk about a catch..."
True love giving Pipers and Drummers "On the first day of Christmas....11+12 = 23 starving musicians.  Ick."
Hours in a day '24 - Lame, shoot me.'
State Coin Collection  '25 state quarter coins in his collection so far'
E's Noir Story 'I didn't get the reference to 26, but it was a great read anyway, thus my...'
27 seconds of applause 'For Emperor's short story - I wanna read the ending'
Days in February '28, usually'
Bones in Skull '30'

I'm a bit lost from here, aside from the silver wedding anniversary being the 25th...

So, with that, I'll get the ball rolling with..

A sampling of all the Baskin-Robbins flavors.  Yum.

numerically speaking, at the very root of the matter, will I see life as a sextagenian?
I'm confused, but that's not new...  What does Stephan's Unica have to do with Ron's living to be 60s, and why not?     M

mnottertail -> RE: Ron's Electric NumerUnotronictifiatopiler (1/2/2007 1:29:14 PM)

I could hardly revert back to being six, (not being a mommies boy) the sex part is  six, and I alluded to the root.

I am sorry I am not perfect for you baby, LOLOLOLOLOLOL.  But you get it, post.

Love and Happiness, M....
