It was wonderful, especially when you realize that he did it in 26 sentences. Yes, I counted. [:)]

Bones in Skull '30'
According to Wikipedia there are 29 bones in the human skull.

Issue a press release
Press releases ofen end with "- 30-". That's a journalistic convention meaning "end of copy." It dates, I believe, back to the old days, when reporters filed by wire and newspapers paid by the word. Saying "30" was cheaper than spelling out "end of copy." Not sure why they used to number 30. Sometimes, the "- 30 -" is replaced with "###", which I put in my post as a way-too-obscure hint.

"Finally," I exclaimed in 1998, "I'm old enough to be President!"

And since "Ron"  is the underlying precept here, one can only assume that some nebulous concepts will remain in the consiousness and general unease.

<wee hijack>

Of course, some readers of this thread might argue that http://www.alz.co.uk/1066/ applies too. [8D]

dcnovice -> RE: Ron's Electric NumerUnotronictifiatopiler (1/2/2007 1:55:30 PM)

While you've got your CB on, Ron, do you mind asking someone what time it is?

dcnovice -> RE: Ron's Electric NumerUnotronictifiatopiler (1/2/2007 2:56:57 PM)

<Never mind my wee hijack, which I'd edit into oblivion if the button hadn't disappeared. I'd mixed up 10-66 and 10-66, thereby proving how sadly apt the link was for my own dear brain.>

In one of those wonderful ironies littered throughout history, the DMZ has become something of a wildlife refuge.

LOL, and they said 54'40'' or fight.

Alfred Hitchcock undoubtably had to be airlifted to the floor above these.

Jimmy Stewart

LOL, Ron! Sharing Al's physique, I'd try to cadge a spot in the chopper myself.

The problem with liking show tunes is that so few songs make it onto the playlist at some radio stations.

OK, who is going to go for what Deep Blue didn't say?

Well, we've reached the answer. Now if we just knew the question. [:)]

The Barbara Pym Society and the Steamship Historical Society just weren't eccentric enough for me, so I found another, even odder group to join. I wonder if they have logo T-shirts.

i thought i'd explain my answer and the rules as i know them... but we basically are to post a funny or obscure reference to a number (consecutive to the previous)  without directly mentioning the number... my number was 46

and i quoted the a scene from Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare which makes reference to religion, which leads us to >>>>

In Psalm 46 in the King James Version of the Bible, the 46th word from the beginning is "shake" and the 46th word from the end is "spear"; at the time of publication of the King James Bible, playwright William Shakespeare was 46 years old

dcnovice's reference is pretty much a gimme (such a nice person), so the next number is 48
