It is not pelosi's job to undermine US foreign policy. It is not pelosi's job to undermine American troops serving. Those are the executive deparytment's duties. It's her job to preside over the House. Nothing more.

Micheal, The House and Senate are constitutionally mandated to serve as checks on the power of the executive, both for foreign and domestic policy. It's the judiciary branch that's limited to deciding on the constitutionality of legislation, including that related to foreign policy, not that they've used it much. Am I the only one who's actually read the constitution lately? I heard that Peter Jennings carried a copy of it in his back pocket for years... no wonder I admired him so much.

However, it is the executive's department to define foreign policy. The Secretary of State works for the POTUS. The SOH is just a piss ant job, duly earned by pelosi. The Courts and the Congress will decide, not some cunt that is the SOH. She's a token.

The majority of Americans were tired of war and corruption, and do not approve of Bush. We have two parties represented in America (and a few indes like me). Americans went to the polls and they decided to change things, that is the charge that the House has, now the Republicans that are left can ignore the collective will of the American people, but they do so at their own peril. Now we can disagree all day and all night, but the fact remains, those who want out of Iraq out number those who want to send good after bad to Iraq

I do not find her to be intelligent at all. I have watched her speeches in the past and she just seems to be a windbag. Most of her expressed thoughts could have holes poked through them easily. In the speeches I heard, she seemed to speak from emotional reactions, rather than formulating thoughts that made sense and could be backed up with tangible information. And I tended to disagree with most of what she was saying. Mind you, with the year & a half that I have had, I have not paid much attention. So I am going off of old information.

Well it seems as though most politicians I can think of do the same as you describe. They think we are all dumb so they lower their speeches to our so-called "level". I cannot think of very many who do not do this.
