My biggest concern is that in the long run they will attract people who are more interested in seeing such pictures, and less interested in BDSM. Coupled with the fact that we are not allowed to post any bondage (or any one of a number of other lifestyle activities) concerns me in that the nude pictures may very well be the first step in changing the demographic we have all appreciated about CM up until this point.

Master's dorei

Let's face it.  CM is already bogged down with those people.  Fakes, wankers, whatever.  They just rarely wander over here.  If there were not people clicking on the ads, they would not be there.

benji

I can't imagine why people wouldbe as offended by the ads as they sometimes seem to be - when  this site is completely free. It could be far worse, and we could have membership fees at CM. I do think they could "branch out" as far as advertisers go - I mena there are other kinds of products and services they coud advertise - and probably make tons of money doing it.

Though I'm told I'm definately not ADD, I beileve that I have close connections.  The blinking ads are extremely distracting.  But there is a cure and that is to move from the deadly, and spy/malware prone Internet Explorer to Firefox at mozilla dot com.  Then from mozilla download the extension adblock.  You can click on an ad, hit the button, and it is gone forever... I see virtually no ads except a few that have no animation which I don't mind.  Further since I have moved to Firefox browser two years ago I have not had one significant spyware/malware/virus infection.  It is also faster, easier to use and fun.

Trash IE and get Firefox and trash the "in your face" ads.

What puzzles me is how this strategy can be working better for the advertiser.  Before, they used attractive young women, but tried to make it appear as though they were showing real profile pictures, in order to deceive the more gullible viewers.  Hence, some were more clothed than others, a few were grainy webcam photos, and so forth.  Now, they're so obviously using standard porn shots that any plausibility goes right out the window.

I agree with an earlier poster, incidentally.  If the silicone bimbos pay the bills for CM, then they're a necessary evil, but they sure won't attract my clicks.  Put up ads for purveyors of fetish gear, and I'll actually click on them.

Ok, being a former IE user, I switched to Mozilla FireFox last year.  Something happened in the process and I had to reformat my laptop.

I went back to IE.

I still had problems and switched successfully to Mozilla FireFox and have had no problems since.

If the ads bother people so much, get FireFox and adblock.  I ignored the ads before, but now that I have adblock, I don't have to worry about any ads from any site I go to, I get to see the basics of the sites that I do visit.  Is it a huge difference?  Eh, I guess.  Now instead of ignoring them, I just don't see them.

Though I think that this move might work for the best for those of you that really ARE bothered by it.

I'm not being snarky, I'm just offering a suggestion.

And hell, for those of you in situations where unmentionables or other people might suddenly walk in on your internet using times, it might be a GREAT move.  Less chance of those you don't want seeing stuff like that, seeing it.  Hell, we all know that the unmentionables are sometimes prone to waking up at night and wandering in asking for a glass of water or because of a bad dream.

I had  fire fox and I hated it. I won't use it.. It  wasn't faster it wasn't funner, and it was not in some cases as efficient, because it wouldn't find certain pages IE would.

Is it me or has the advertising on here gotten more pornographic recently?
esp while playing tetris in the game section, I am kind of disturbed by what use to
be shots of girls in bras to full on gentalia.
I am in no way a prude, but does collarme have much say on the contact of the advertising, because..yuck

You can't be serious?

CollarMe.com is a free service.

If the advertising displays a certain amount of genetalia that you are somewhat offended by...and you continue to not have to pay...WTF????

I don't own, nor am I a shareholder within...I'm just a lucky bastard that gets an ongoing free ride.

If they start showing ads for Tijuana donkey festivals...I may choose to take my preferences elesewhere...but you know what?  They're providing a service that has to cost several thousands of dollars a month....

THAT I AIN'T PAYING FOR!!!!!!!!!!

I'm okay with a few tits and dicks.

(Really I am).

advertising has certainly got more explicit. obviously we have not been clicking through enough. if we want a site supported by advertising eventually we need to start buying or else the business model fails. if we all CHOOSE to click through to the dvd section and CHOOSE to buy a dvd we won't have girls pushed at us as soon as we hit the front page. if we don't do that what do you expect - something for nothing?

don't worry about being compared to 'ideal' women. a lot is just in your mind. and remember - as an 'ordinary' woman you will be more attractive than many other 'ordinary' women and you will be benefitting from that,

DO NOT do what this poster suggests. this will undermine capitalism and result in either in a) communist totalitarian government (i.e. no master/slaves allowed) or b) religious totalitarian government (i.e. no open discussion of sex allowed)

our best chance to promote master/mistress/sub/slave behaviour is to work with others who enjoy manipulation/exploitation (capitalists) and those who have no sex taboos (pornographers)

invest your pension in capitalist-pornography. so when you are old the young f***ers will be paying to have your ass wiped clean by someone you don't know and who finds you disgusting. how deliciously humiliating

Funny. Until this post, I never paid any attention to the advertising. Will admit to noticing it the first time I logged on, but was pics of women, which are not my first preference. So tend to just tune them out of my line of vision.

Would be nice if they had sponsors like JT's Stockroom or similar businesses. Those would be the ads I would read and would be more likely to visit.

Mistress Ylwa

Now if they wrote their script as I refered to earlier it would prompt the proper sexual preference of the viewer to show pics of their liking.

I thought I hit a setting either on My browser or on Collarme that only gave Me a text version.

I do know that Kinkos blocks sites with explicit BDSM like that B site but was able to get C.

Wonder if it is the same now?

I like how all the spyware changes the girls locations to the area you happen to be from, gee, i never knew there were so many "horny sluts" from my town!

My husband and I have been laughing about that for a year...he keeps telling me when they are in Volo *a tiny little nothing blip of a town near us* that he'll be leaving me for one of the "fun girls"
