LOL, yes, we have some things in the lifestyle that are rather scary and look awful to others. I know you got wide eyed at the weights, but a lot of the guys do them to themselves. They don't usually hurt.

I often get the reaction that my photos are extreme. I'll throw up a quick montage of my photos so you can look for yourself. I don't feel any of them are out of the norm, but I am constantly being told that I'm an awful sadist and that men are afraid of me after they view my photo albums. The album is called CollarMe - Extreme (not the For CollarMe album, that was for another thread) http://photos.yahoo.com/beachmystresss Please keep in mind I am a Domme (so you're going to be looking at a penis if you go see these photos) and that my main focus is CBT, so you're going to be seeing a penis being tormented.

I think it is because the people viewing the photo don't realize how things actually feel. While the clothespins are a bit much for some men, others don't have a problem. The photo of the guy with 83 clothespins on.. he sat quietly and didn't flinch. It took 12 mins to apply them and another 4 mins to remove them. He wasn't phased in the least. The photo called a_toy_zipper13 shows a zipper of 6 clothespins left on for about 45 seconds and while it looks less extreme than the 83 clothespins, that sub was in agony. You can not judge what something was like just by looking at it.

Also, the pretty purple color that shows up in some photos may be an indicator of trapped blood there for a while, but it can also be that the sub is pale skinned to begin with and when photographed, shows the difference strikingly. You can see this in bnt_hd, in which the photo was taken less than 2 mins after the tying was done.

Every one of the photos I placed in that album is one that someone has commented on as looking extreme. I find none of them to be so. YMMV

Oh yes, and as for the sub with the rat traps on his penis... those were used as clamps ONLY. Do not ever release a mouse or rat trap on any part of human anatomy. They are designed to break small bones and will do great damage to a penis if released on it.

Status: offline 		For anybody interested in gaining a deeper insight into the mind of an "extreme" masochist, I would highly recommend the movie "Bob Flanagan -- Supermasochist". It's a fascinating documentary on the life (and death) of an extraordinary person. It's very personal and explores how Flanagan was able to harness and control the pain of living with cystic fibrosis through masochistic performance art. You'll find yourself laughing with him (the SAM song, for example), squicked perhaps, and ultimately deeply saddened. I'll warn you in advance that the final scenes are deeply disturbing.

Funny, but when I hear someone in the BDSM lifestyle call something deeply disturbing, it slightly scares me. I'm sure it is a wonderful movie and very informative. I'm going to just have to take your word for it. While being slightly sadistic in my own right, I can not stand to view pain that I didn't personally cause. Weird huh?

I think that this is at the hart of what I am talking about, and it really isn't meant as an insult to you either. Rather, it is more a self-realization on my part that I am not interested in the kind of child-like (or, less diplomatically, childish) behaviour described above in my slave. I would expect her to handle the surprise and shock with grace and aplomb. It would simply be unacceptabel to me for her to hop up and down and say "Oh my god Master...look at this."

The "disturbing" part is film of his death -- not in any "scene" but rather in a very sad moment, in bed at home with his wife by his side as he finally succumbed to the illness that had plagued him all his life.

If you search Google - Groups - "Brutal Master" you'll find lots of threads from the alt.torture Usenet group about the man who likely made the vidi you saw as well as discussions in which his slaves reject the notions that there is anything non-consensual about these types of extreme activities. It's not my cup of tea but, you know, if the subject interests you at all it's worth reading about what goes on behind the scenes.

thanks for the warning i have trouble with those sorts Of very emotional endings
i saw the Bob Flanagan book today at a used bookstore the one that REsearch put out i think its before the documentary was made im not sure. he looks like a very interesting character i have a read a few articles about him.

Then you have the slave who adores pretending to be dead on the floor at a party and raped by random people, or loves to be kicked and screamed at what a worthless cunt she is.

To me it has nothing to do with "losing" innocence. yes, feeding someone grapes loses its charm the 4th time, and there's that special "newness" to a toy or event when you go. But it gets replaced by security, by knowledge, by a depth of experience.

I STILL get amazed- maybe not at how awesome a singletail sounds or feels, but knowing what my boy feels like if he's got some tears in his eyes but just doesn't want to stop. It actual disturbed me a bit. Im not easily disturbed also but that looked like real lasting damage being done.
i hope that some of those are Special effects like the old roughie 1970,s loops?

Me neither. It's also true for me that scenes don't have to be extreme to be intense. I liken it to music and playing in a band. When you're young, you want to play loud and play lots of notes. As you get older, you begin to hear the magic in silence and find you can make some of the most profound musical statements without barely making a sound.

Thank You for sharing those photos. One of My favourite toys are clothes pegs and You made some delightful patterns. I am really impressed with the look of the 83 clothespegs. It almost looks like a Christmas tree. And yes, each submissive feels the binding, pegs, CBT differently. That is one of the things that makes it so much fun.

At one point would I have ever thought it possible that I could or would do some of these things? No, but I didn't go from point A to point Z without all the letters in between.

Actually an SF Bay area domme has a similar photo (needles, clothespins, tortured looking penis) as her profile photo in her Yahoo account. So I don't know if I would call it extreme.... although it would push my trust!
