ORIGINAL: quietkitten I am not the least bit apologetic about it either... There is something called tact. I am not saying that this post is tactless, though I would suggest that it is usually considered good behaviour for those with less experience to quietly and politely watch and learn from those with more. Asking questions should always be encouraged. Shouting "OMG, that is just something I never even considered possible before," however, could be taken the wrong way, by some. This doesn't just apply to BDSM. Taggard When my now 21 yo son was 5 or 6, I used to collect him from his mother every other weekend and drive him to my place in the country. Often we would see kangaroos hopping over the road, or an old man koala metaphorically thumping his chest at the cars as they drove through his terrritory, and once we had to stop so that a mother echidna could marshall her 6 little ones across the road. And invariably, Anto would bounce up and down in his seat, eyes wide and shining, so excited. Of course by the time he was 9 he'd become a fully paid up member of late 20th century Western culture, a pre-teen post-modern lump of blase. I really missed that childish excitement and wonder when it went. Some very wise men and women have told us for a century or more now that one of the secrets of wisdom and psychological balance is the ability to retain, or regain, that childlike wonder, and riotgrl and quietkitten, in this case, seem to have, and I'm excited for them. Only a sanctimonious prat would see their excitement, and their need to share it, as tactless. Oh gosh, that's flaming, isn't it. But I think when somebody plays the 'children (and women) should be seen not heard' card with adults he has never even met, I would think, that borders pretty close on insult to my mind, flaming if you will. So I guess I have to say, 'I am not the least bit apologetic about it either...' Grandpa Lash
