Status: offline 		The other day, I was thinking about how many men in my age group, have NO
problem talking to women easily 15 years younger than they are.
My ex-husband who is 42, was telling me about some young lady he was dating
that was 27!!
I have a "rule" that getting involved with submissives under 35, is a fairly hard
limit for me.
One of the reasons is, ideally I only seek a possible LTR--hopefully forever.
I personally, see very little future in becoming involved with someone under 35.
Men younger then that could only be boy toys, or play partners.
I will admit, I am not seeking senior citizens either, so the age range is damn small right
now!!
Am I missing out on something?
Do you have age limits/preferences?
Have you had some great earth shattering relationship with men or women 10, 15,
or 20 years younger than yourself?

However, if you are looking for LTR, it is noraml to look for someone close to your age as you may have more common intersts.
just thought i give my 2 cents worth.

Status: offline 		I have had some fabulous subs who WERE senior citizens, and of my 4 favorite "stud lovers" 3 are 10+ years older than myself.  On the other hand, I've enjoyed the submission and servitude of a few between 18 and 21.  In general, for actual realtionship consideration, I prefer the man be between 23 (-5) and 35(+7) I would consider older except that I want children and soon. 

But I've always been a fan of "personal rules are made to be broken" when you find someone you love enough to break your own rles....... that's a beautiful thing.

However, since I feel it is part of my responsibilities as mistress and head of house to consider everyone's needs and desires his age is factor now in the lower age limit I have. He wants someone close to his age so I'm thinking of initially limiting it to 5 years younger than him. Of course we will be open individuals who we meet in meatlife who are younger but they must be legal age.

As for my upper age limit, that reflects my own desires and my history. I really don't want any more than 5 years older than me and I prefer younger subs and potential slaves. I think I'd feel too much like I was with a sibling if they were much older than that and getting to the age difference between those that abused me as a child.

That means currently the age range I'm interested in is: 22-42.

Status: offline 		Since I am seeking someone who would be a life partner as well as My slave or submissive, I am limiting My search  to individuals within 10 years of My age, plus or minus.  I have found through experience that I have more in common with people fairly close to My own age.  Also, it is possible for Me to be sexually and romantically attracted to men close to My age.
 
When I was new to the lifestyle and seeking submissives without the long-term relationship, I owned some considerably younger than Me (15 - 22 years younger).  While things worked out well from a BDSM perspective, I found I did not have that much in common with them outside of the lifestyle.  On top of that, I found that am not sexually or romantically attracted to men young enough to be My son, though I can play with them in a nonsexual manner.  Also, making excuses to My nosy neighbor about My "visiting nephews" grew rather tiresome.  When I owned subs close to My own age, she just assumed they were boyfriends and left it at that.

So, yes, I do have age limits for the submissive or slave I am seeking for a life partner.  I do play with younger subs casually at public events from time to time if they ask Me, and if I like them as a friend, but won't consider owning them.

Status: offline 		This is how I see it. Those in their teens have yet to understand the  concept of 'relationship"..nor should they. There is such a thing as growing up too fast.
 
While in the twenties, there is still the high school mentality. "The ideal person is out there  and if I just obey and do as I'm told, I'll be so good he'll not have a need for anyone else."   Their bar is high... the guy better not even look at another woman when he is with me.. yadda yadda"  Lots of growing yet to do.  And they need to take their lumps.  Plus it's a time where most are trying to get through college, start a career or even a family.  I'm not going to even think about involving myself in their life.
 
The Thirties;  They have had a LOT of "experience" from the twenties (or so they think)  Failed relationships happen to everyone.  It's that growing/learning thing.  Most in this age bracket are thinking "heh.. I've got LOTS of time. I'm just going to play the field and not EVER get married!"... until..
 
The 40's. They start to reflect a bit more on life.  They are getting a bit more serious.  I leave them alone for those of their age bracket and under in case they are late bloomers and really want a family and such.  I'm past my halfway point.
 
Ah the 50's:  That's where I'm at.. hubby and slave just broke into their 60's,  If I were looking, that's where I'd look.  We are slower and not in such a frenzy to "do it all'.  While we may not have "done it all"..we have  looked at it all and determined what is worth it.  Each person has to do what's right for them and  it comes with the ups and downs of the earlier years.
 
I'll check back when I'm in my 60's :)

Status: offline 		My original Mistress was 19 years my senior. I completely adored her and we were together three years. What eventually broke us up had nothing to do with the age difference. Although it's not an absolute rule, I tend to heel better for older Women.

I don't know how much in common I would have with someone
who is 15 years younger than I am, outside of BDSM!!!

Lotus? some men never grow up!! I have talked to some really crazy men
in their 50's.  If it comes to that, I will take the crazy men in their early 30's.
At least the are hot.

Status: offline 		:-)  I agree 99.9% w/ Lotus Song.  Too young are too flaky & not serious about a relationship ... it's all about them, not about investing into the relationship at all.  And many at that age who look for Doms my age are looking for a Sugar Daddy, a handful of credit cards & their only form of submission is to model their new lingerie once a week.  I'm generous, but not stupid.

But there ARE exceptions, albeit few & far between, so I try to keep an open mind.  Glad to be fatherly to someone younger, but not willing to be a Sugar Daddy.

Unfortunately, the vast majority of subs my age (58) have not kept themselves fit.  They consider 'camping out' as staying in a 4 star hotel, & consider 'hiking' as a day at the mall, etc. 

So I'm stuck trying to find someone who is mature & serious about a LTR but is able to keep up with me in activities.  That's, of course, in addition to having similar interests, compatible personalities, etc.  Though I'd enjoy teaching & sharing what I enjoy with a new sub or slave, I'm pretty much resigned to the probability that no such sub or slave exists out there for me.  But I had a great run for 40 yrs, and I enjoy my life as it is ... so I can't complain.  :-)

Status: offline 		I am not old enough to date someone 10 years younger... however Angel is 7 years my junior. I have dated men as much as 15 years older, but it isnt my preference.  I want someone who enjoys life, and who isnt too serious.  Most of the time, the older men have already figured out they want to settle.
I dont normaly care about someones age unless they are illegal, or dull.  Anyone who can enjoy themselves and be exciting and fun, they have a potential with me.

Status: offline 		The ones in their 20's don't appeal to me - too green! Mid 30's to late 40's fits my lifestyle the best. My folks are late 50s and early 60s - that would freak me out a little.

Status: offline 		I prefer in their 40s and 50s.  I would consider someone slightly younger--say late 30s---but it's not my preference.
