Murder does make the news in Kentucky, fyi, in case anybody wondered whether the Fourth Estate wasn't doing its job or something. Authorities make arrest in murder ; followed argument over woman Associated Press SONORA, Ky. - The body of a murder victim was found in a shallow grave behind the rural farm residence of his accused killer, according to Kentucky State Police. Roy Marshall Jeffries, 29, was last seen near the Dollar General store in Sonora after leaving his workplace at the nearby Pilot Truck Stop Jan. 27, investigators said. His body was found in a wooded area behind Clayton Kerr's Hogan Road home, about five miles south of White Mills. Kerr, 20, is accused of shooting Jeffries in the head after an argument over a woman, police said. Jeffries' stepfather, Charles Brown, said the woman the men were fighting over worked with Jeffries and dated Kerr. State Police spokesman Steve Pavey said Kerr escorted police to Jeffries' grave early Tuesday morning. Kerr was arrested and jailed on charges of murder and tampering with physical evidence. Kerr was being held in the Hardin County Detention Center without bond.
