My fears:

1. That he will pass away and for whatever reason, I won't know it - or that I WILL know it and for whatever reason (fears don't have to be reasonable y'know),

That is the suckiest thing about fears.

Actually, to me, the suckiest thing about fears like this is that they can generalize so easily. A trip to work and narrowly missing a deer becomes a fear of not saying good bye, and all that other stuff, making the fear bigger than that momentary shock of seeing the animal in your headlights. And fears LURK, ready to jump out and prey on your imagination at the least little provocation. It's not like a fear of clowns or roller coasters. Those kinds of fears are taken care of simply by not being around clowns or on roller coasters. But these...these hover beneath the consciousness...and at the most unexpected moments...they pop out to attack. And once they're out, they're very difficult to get back into the nice tidy boxes we keep them in.

* That I have made a mistake, and that there are things that I don't know yet, or can't see, and that when I discover those things I will be too far in to have the ability (emotionally/spiritually) to walk away. Mostly I think this fear appears when I feel overwhelmed by the strength of my own emotions or doubt my own judgement because I am scared.

I really, seriously fear not being good enough.  I try so hard to do my best in everything and my submission is such a part of me that almost everything I do relates back to it in some way.  And not being good enough in the core of my being...

I worry about that a lot.

sadie92 -> RE: As a submissive what is your biggest fear real or otherwise? (2/1/2007 8:32:14 PM)

My biggest fear is to dropped for someone younger, prettier, closer (geographically) without warning.

BabyNyla -> RE: As a submissive what is your biggest fear real or otherwise? (2/1/2007 8:36:27 PM)

My two biggest fears are that he'll leave me for someone more his age (I am 28 and he is 19) or that I won't live up to being a good enough slave and he'll choose someone who is better than me.

and asphyxiation does scare me a tad ...

Spending the rest of my life in the relationship I am in and having to hide my true feelings, when all I really want is to find a mistress to serve that will love me the way I am. Until then I walk in the dark looking and unless the present partner goes her own way I'll never see the light.

Starlings in Winter

Chunky and noisy,
but with stars in their black feathers,
they spring from the telephone wire
and instantly
they are acrobats
in the freezing wind.
And now, in the theater of air,
they swing over buildings,
dipping and rising;
they float like one stippled star
that opens,
becomes for a moment fragmented,
then closes again;
and you watch
and you try
but you simply can’t imagine
how they do it
with no articulated instruction, no pause,
only the silent confirmation
that they are this notable thing,
this wheel of many parts, that can rise and spin
over and over again,
full of gorgeous life.
Ah, world, what lessons you prepare for us,
even in the leafless winter,
even in the ashy city.
I am thinking now
of grief, and of getting past it;
I feel my boots
trying to leave the ground,
I feel my heart
pumping hard. I want
to think again of dangerous and noble things.
I want to be light and frolicsome.
I want to be improbable beautiful and afraid of nothing,
as though I had wings.

[the fears that I have in life have nothing to do with my being submissive and everything to do with my being human.

So none of them convey within your submission?

my biggest fear is being taken advantage of ,made to fall in love with my Dom then being left, and the last one used to bother me finding another and him leaving me ,but I have more confidence ,yet as subs we are required to give ourselves fully to our Masters and not all men are caring enough to deserve that

I do understand the fear of abandonment but how does one "make you fall in love" with a dom?

Isn't that something that you give of yourself freely?

So is that fear of the unkown or fear of sucess?

Being abandoned. Stems back to childhood but it's something i've never quite learnt to deal with so i just accept now it is a part of me and deal with it best i can.

I am sorry to hear that.

Quite often many fears are based on childhood experiences.

I'm really terrified of camel crickets.  Yeah, camel crickets are definitely a hard limit for me.[:'(] In a BDSM context, my biggest fear would probably be doing something to jepordize my relationship.

I can imagine the use of them in a scene.

I imagine it would make you rather uncomfortable just reading about it.

My Master has taught me to focus on the positives, and on things going right, versus fearing all that can go wrong.

Yes this is something many can teach themselves.

Accentuate the positive

Eliminate the negative

As a submissive, but biggest fear is not finding the perfect Dom.

[;)]

What might be your definition of a perfect dom?

I have met too many subs that have a checklist that 9 out of 10 items are checked but because he wears green socks on a Tuesday the keep on searching instead of working with it and using it as a stepping stone.

One is on a purely physical level... being really physically hurt, I mean, to the point where I have to go to an emergency room.

That is just common sense survival mode.

The second is  I am always afraid of not letting the people I care for and love (all levels of "love" here) know exactly how much they mean to me before they are gone from my life.

Life is for learning. I do not wish to sit in My rocking chair and wonder if...I will know because I tried.

loseing control. not of a situation or anyting like that.  but of myself.

I use to tell submissives I was there to protect them from themselves and to be careful of what they wished for as I would bring it to them.

being abandoned by Daddy (which He has re-assurred it would never happen because we are forever) due to His death. i think i would be an emotional wreck since we are very close to each other and leave the lifestyle for good.

Yes with death there is great sorrow. I am sure he would wish you to celebrate his life rather than morn his departure for the rest of your life.
