I think that sometimes we miss the things that are good because we just are not paying attention to them. So I thought I would start a thread about what you are grateful for.

I will start, I am grateful for my family.

I am grateful that I am able to earn a living doing something that I would willingly do for free.  Because of that....I will never have to work again.

best!

For a worthwhile thread amid the current wasteland.

Thank you.

I am grateful for the wonderful relationship I have now, and for all the help I have gotten from various friends and relatives getting out on my own.
I am also grateful for all the support I hve gotten emotionally from friends with all the stresses of moving and uncertainty.

I'm grateful for so many things that I'm just grateful for being one lucky bitch, in general. I'm continuously mindful of my blessings, however; mostly because they're up in my face every day, making it impossible to 'miss' them, or forget them.

My new Daddy.

My doggies.

My house.

The fact I wasn't born in Africa, or some other third world country or nation.

That my parents made sure I got to go to college.

Well keep posting about those things! They are beautiful, and I find that because I keep a gratitude journal it gives my gratitude substance to write it down... here I will go again...

I am grateful for my Daddy, although he does not always know perhaps how grateful for him I am.

Nice thread, Julia and I'm glad you're feeling better. :)

I couldn't even begin to list all my blessings and how grateful I am to so many, but the people which stand out in my mind for this past year are the doctors who saved my father's life and have given me more time to enjoy his amazing company. Salute!

Celeste

I am grateful for life.  I am grateful for my partner.  I am grateful for having a roof over my head and food to eat.

I was watching a TV programme last night about a children's hospice and respite care centre (Helen House) in the UK. It made me cry buckets.

It also made me think about the pissing and moaning I do about being alone, and how f'in ungrateful I am for all I have; two perfectly healthy and happy kids for a start.

Trouble is, I know damned sure I'll forget it all again soon enough.

I am grateful that I can go to the gym in the morning, feeling yucky, and yet emerge 30 minutes later, feeling like I have the world by the tail.  I know that anything is possible.

best!

I'm grateful for my health, my family, my owner and many other things (including the sun being out today).

I've heard of the gratitude journal, I like to try to think of at least one thing I'm grateful for every day
