What most objected to wasn't the list being a set of directives, it was the juvenile motive behind it. Should we rail against it because he doesn't say "don't kill her" or that he didn't add "always wash your hands" or some other such drivel?

That is very interesting. My owner meets all those qualifications yet he does not desire the title of master. Perhaps it is only a matter of personal preference and is sheer vanity to pretend otherwise. A good dominant (or a good partner) is only as good as his actions. Whatever they go by is only a name and of little import as long as it communicates the bare necessity of information needed for outsiders.
