domiguy,

Every thread needs a post to lighten up the day.

Thanks,

domiguy,

Your assessment of my intent is well off base.

In my time in the D/s lifestyle, I have been real time for more years then many have been in the lifestyle. I personally do not enter into a on line relationship, other then friends, unless there is an understanding up front that there is a possibility of it maturing into real time.

The original thread post did not differenciate between on line or r/t.

of course, the financial is not an ongoing thing, the key word is emergency and it happens beyound ones control at times. If it does happen, can a "s" or slave look to their master to help? Simple question that differentiates from a classic D position.

The above is dependent on what constitutes "beyond one's control" and "emergency". For example, not paying the bills is not necessarily beyond one's control. Consequently, as per my original comment, supplying emergency funds is not necessarily the solution to the problem. The devil is in the detail and flexibility of mind is required in order to make the correct decision to resolve the problem at hand (as opposed to a generic approach applied to various instances of needing money).

As far as 24/7 is concerned, I address the factor of comfort on the "s" side in making contact, either r/t or on line.

The above doesn't make sense to me so a further explanation will be useful here.

Most people on earth have been "in the lifestyle" less than 12 seconds; therefore, I will presume your real life experience is roughly on par with twice that.

For anyone who cares, that's 0.000000761 years.

Ironically, that's 14 times as much as JessykaPower.

It's benji.  And I'm implying you're "online."  It was a joke.  You know, it makes people laugh?  Not all of them; some couldn't tell a joke if it came up and bit them in the USB port.

Yours,

benji

fmd,

Sadly there is the culture here, why I do not know, that looks down their aristocratic noses at people whose pricipal partisipation in the lifestyle is on line.

As I presented in a prior post, if the Gods are willing it can turn into real time all the more richer for the benefit of being on line first.

There sure is.. and it bothers me. Some of us haven't the luxury of being able to be who they are in RL. Some are in a LDR and online communication is important. Some live in WIITWD-less areas dang it!
I am still jenny, offline or online. Online I can put my feet behind my head but I can't do that offline...
Online I can run/play whatever. Offline I spend most of the day laying down & using my laptop.

I get so very tired of the condescending attitude towards online chat...especially when it is being done online lol.

Ohgosh, I ranted didn't I? Sorry.

I don't think anyone is against online; we all are online.  What we are "opposed" to is people postulating about being a perfect Master, and the differences between Masters and Sirs, when they clearly have never interacted with enough people in real life to know that most consider it fluid at best.

Go to a munch and read that list out loud.  I'll send you flowers in the hospital.

Yours,

benji

Mary T,

SM simply lends his interpretation to the original post, simply because there was a small refer to on line, it was targeted to both on line and real time lifestylers.

I've hosted the largest munch ever, and the only topic discussed why I should leave this thread alone.  One of the big reasons was the happy hand of a Mod squishing me.

Actually, it was the only reason, but I'm not into that shit no more.

So, with that, I bid thee farewell.

Yours,

benji

There was, nor is any attempt to impose anything, but rather to get some thinking about responsibilities that come with the "title".

Dictionary definition of "title":  a descriptive or distinctive appellation, especially one belonging to a person by right of rank, office, attainment, etc.

None of which applies to the word "Master" as you are using it.  What responsiblities come with the title of Mister?

I just backspaced over a whole entire looooooong post. Sigh. You might be sub *or neurotic, but I prefer blaming the subbie* if facing confrontation on a forum stresses you out?

Nope.  You might take words on a screen too seriously.  You'll have mail in 5, Jenny.

Then I reiterate:
quote:

I'll call him by whatever term pleases him, regardless of whether or not you approve.

That works for real time and online and encompasses my believe that it's a bad idea to assign other people responsibilities based on your rather strange idea of "title."  If you now find other people laughing at the idea of a "cyber master," consider that your own post made that title look pretty foolish.
