upsurd1 -> what is meant by a Dom " breaking" another Dom? (2/12/2007 9:52:26 PM)

I was chatting with a Dom online last night and he was bragging that he had broken many so called Doms. As I have said I am new to this so I am puzzled as to how that goes down. I asked this individual and he just said i would find out in due time. Another stupid question. When one Dom trains another does this mean he teaches him techniques of restraint and how far to push things or is it more of a aura of Dom-hood that gets related?

More than likely he means he seduced them and got them to want to play with him as a bottom.

The question to follow up with his brag with is- why isn't he in a serious relationship with any of them?

People training eachother simply means training skills to a new person.  Many submissives make fabulous trainers for dominants.

Or possibly he was feeding you a load of shit hoping to impress you.

to lucky albatross. He is a str8 male and was talking about other str8 male Doms. I got the image of some sort of Dom showdown like a kickboxing contest of some sort.Which seems silly, thus the question. To Domiguy, well my assumption is it was total BS  but I was just checking, LOL

I have to believe he was just shooting his mouth off.  Dom/mes do not usually to go out of their way to make enemies of other Dominants. Doms/mes  lead by example and may give others points on etiquitte, restraint and other behaviour models. To go out of your way to degrade or humiliate another Dominant is..well...tacky and shows bad manners. There are many Dominants that are new and have a pre-concieved notion of what it is to be a Dominant, and they need a bit of guidance, but most will learn by following another's example.

I doubt there is any sub out there that doesn't know the difference between a Dominant spirit and a mean spirit.

Better luck with your next conversation.

yeah sounds like a load of shit to me. He may be a legend in his own mind.

"breaking" eh?...sound like something you would do to a horse on a farm that would not allow someone to saddle them....wait....hmmmm....*had funny image of a Dom with a saddle on his back while another Dom feeds him sugar cubes* .....oh my....what a world...... but seriously....it sounds like that guy was just talking out of his ass and trying to impress you

Yes, haven't you heard of the website http://www.socalleddoms.com ?

Or maybe it was this one he confused you with:  http://www.socaldoms.com

I think if there is any sexual truth in this matter then the doms in training told him that they would like to learn what it is to be a dominant and so he tied them up and beat the shit out of them until they were weeping and broken, far beyond what they may have agreed to.

It is a common mistake and argument that one needs to be subjected to submissiveness to learn how to be a dom, and the poor slobs who took this guy up on his offer found out the hard way that he was only a pure sadist, nothing more.  SirBlackEyeBlight I think was his name.

I'm thinking something completely different here....

This sounds more like he's the legendary UBER-DOM out there unmasking those awful lifestyle wannabes, jerks and horny timewasters.  I trust you've been suitably in awe of his prowess at righting lifestyle wrongs for the benefit of all fem/subs.

The "due time" he's referring to is most likely a reflection of your relative inexperience and that you currently can't appreciate what a twue dom and alround great guy he is until you've met a few more of us common or garden variety doms to compare.

Don't let this one get away....  lol

Focus.

It sounds to me as if he was talking out of his buttocks trying to impress you. Yes some Doms do train other Doms, but breaking them? That wouldn't go over very well now would it?

As I've said a thousand times, take what you hear with a grain of salt.

Let's face facts here.  I was new once.  I was played like most everyone else.  I have never heard of a Dom/me breaking another Dom/me.
I was trained by a Domme to learn how to flog and other things, but I broke away from her the minute she tried to take control.
A real Dom/me will not allow another to dominate them. They may use one for advice or learning techniques, but he was feeding you a line of crap.

I hope he seasoned that pile of inedible he was trying to feed you...

leathersmith -> RE: what is meant by a Dom " breaking" another Dom? (2/13/2007 7:49:22 AM)

Is it possible that it was a situation where two people, usually guys, engaged in threat behavior as do say gorillas and one backed down thereby becoming "broken"? Just a thought. Can't say I am familiar with the term otherwise

Aine -> RE: what is meant by a Dom " breaking" another Dom? (2/13/2007 7:53:28 AM)

Eh....highly doubtful when the one talking about the "breaking" isn't forthcoming about what that means or what it entails....

Most likely a line of bullshit.

LadyYasmina -> RE: what is meant by a Dom " breaking" another Dom? (2/13/2007 7:57:18 AM)

For some Domly Maledoms it is not enough to simply Top a woman; they want to use Their Mighty Domliness to crush her innate Dominance and "flip" her, and thus bolster their own bubble-projected egos.  Notches on the whip handle.

SimplyMichael -> RE: what is meant by a Dom " breaking" another Dom? (2/13/2007 7:58:26 AM)

You can bet dollars to doughnuts this is some idiotic crap they do in chatrooms.

Imagine real life and someone being at a civilized gathering of fellow BDSMers bragging they had broken someone.  Can you really imagine any positive connotation to that?

domiguy -> RE: what is meant by a Dom " breaking" another Dom? (2/13/2007 8:00:00 AM)

Twisting and turnng

his backside is burning

I'm breaking the Dom.

He meant me no harm.

Take off  that black leather

bitch, don this pink sweater

I'm breaking the Dom.

He loves no one else.

Honestly, the visual that springs to mind is of two guys dressed up in leather, and one, um, riding the other while yelling "I broke you."
