Ya, I found one and named him George. I hugged him, and squeezed him and made him my friend!
Then he ran away. He moved in with some weirdo guy and they both became famous .

1. You are not a demon, as demons are unable to physically interact with this plane of existence.
2. None of those work.

you are a cheeky one, so do you ever refer to herbal remedies or use them for purposes OTHER than cooking?

*grin* I have my moments.

High doses of St. John's Wort (under a doctor's supervision) and a severe diet change pulled me out of a suicidal depression (however it was brand specific, as some brands had fillers which caused adverse reactions).   L-Glutamin cures my sugar cravings.  Peppermint helped with some stomach ails I had.  Probiotics are what I go for before ever taking antibiotics.  Bilberry extract cures a cold.  Cod liver oil gel caps, while not an herb, is a great anti-inflamatory.  Chamomile will always calm me.  And Don Quai makes me see the devil - can NOT take that.  Gingko Biloba didn't help me much when I tried it. Milk Thistle is good for allergies.

My sister-in-law has her Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine and practices on a coastal town in California.  She's a genious with Chinese herbal remedies.  The thing about herbs is they should be taken with care.  Sometimes you really can have too much of a good thing.  More is not always better.

As for fending demons away....well my Master took care of that for me.

The last part of what you said i cannot stress enough, too much of anything really isnt the way forward, St John's wort was used for depression ages ago, nice to see it is still prescribed, i think that is where meds for 'mind' problems eminated from, i do feel herbs have extreme qualitative potential and it would be nice to see a 'comeback' so to speak.

The problem with the comeback is the FDA scaring people into thinking herbal supplements are dangerous.  And some really can be if not used appropriately.  Mine was prescribed by a nationally renowned doctor of Orthomolecular Medicine.  He kept close tabs on me and on my diet.  Doctors of Chinese Medicine tend to be good sources, also.  I strongly advocate seeing a doctor well versed in herbology before taking it upon oneself to treat something with certain herbs.  I'll never forget my experiences with Don Quai - that was brutal.

Now, as for garlic - I like Emeril's approach.  Put in as much as the recipe calls for...and then double it!
