SusanofO -> How do people feel about Biting as a bdsm activity? (2/15/2007 1:12:34 AM)

I am curious - do many out there engage in (hard) Biting of their submissive or slave (or Dom or Domme) as part of bdsm activity?

I didn't see this listed at CM in the "BDSM Interests" section for profiles, and I just let my Dominant know it's a hard limit for me. I am bringing it up here on the message board, I guess, because I rarely hear it mentioned as a bdsm acitivity (maybe it is thought of as an off-shoot of Vampiristic activity, which is really a fringe bdsm activity, if it's one at all. But maybe that's not the reason).

Anyway, it really is a hard limit for me - I just hate biting. It scares me, and for me, it's really painful, too (and not in any enjoyable way - at all). But - all that aside - I am curious how many maybe enjoy this (or not).

I am not referring here to gentle nibbling, or even the kind of biting that would give many folks a hickey I guess, but real chomping on someone (like maybe even drawing blood, although it doesn't necessarily need to be that extreme).

Nibbling I can handle (and even enjoy a lot). Ditto for hickeys (although I've found, even though I've rarely had these, that covering them up with make-up, even, can be a challenge for me).

I was thinking about this because thought I should let my Daddy know, and then got curious how many others might feel this way, too (or not), besides me (he recently asked me if I had any hard limits, other than the ones I'd already mentioned, that he should know about. Plus, we'd been discussing nipple clamps, and the thought of him really biting me hard there terrifies me).

Am I unusual? (not that I really care. I am curious, though).

Anybody else really hate biting?

Anyone out there absolutely love hard biting?

I mean hard biting. Biting hard and chomping on someone else.

Thanks for any replies.

- Susan

I know you are serious, but this thing makes me smile. Yeah, I suppose some are into biting, but I if someone starts chomping on you like you are going to be eaten, I'd damn sure run. The human mouth has lots of germs that contaminate cuts. Usually, lacerations from bites are not sutured closed because the wound is considered too dirty. They are left open to heal.

ExSteel: Thanks for answering, I was beginning to think nobody would answer.

I know it sounds silly, but I've read about people who really like biting their sub or slave hard. I am not talking about cannibalism, just to clear things up. But - really hard biting - like that would make someone cry, maybe. Not a "loving nibble", or anything close to it, I guess. I am pretty squicked out by biting in general, and your point about comtamination and disease is well taken.

I love biting!  For me it has nothing to do with vampirism.  I do usually limit myself to just before breaking the skin, but not always.  Now that isn’t to say I don’t like nibbling, I certainly do but there is just something about grabbing my lover around the waist wrapping my fist in her hair pulling her head to one side and sinking my teeth into her neck.  It just really does something to me.  And while I wouldn’t consider myself to be a masochist in any way, being bitten is really the only form of “pain” which I enjoy.  I don’t find anything wrong with a sub sinking her teeth into me.

My “issue” with biting is that I have a very hard time explaining what works for me and what doesn’t and unfortunately some people get it right away and some don’t.  The key, to me at least, is not trying to bite skin, but instead start with a more muscular area, such as the neck, or arms or legs.  Also it seems focusing on pressure point can be very enjoyable, the inside of elbow is another good one and it’s actually pretty hard to hurt someone, so it’s a great place to experiment.

If it’s common, I couldn’t tell you, and I wouldn’t worry too much about being “unusual”.

P.S.  Not to fond of the chopping thing or chewing for that matter [:D]

taintedgypsy -> RE: How do people feel about Biting as a bdsm activity? (2/15/2007 2:22:16 AM)

hmmm I like being bitten, but not to the point of breaking the skin but enjoy the feel of teeth on my skin to the point of deep bruising. I love to bite too, however in my experience most people do not like to bitten past the point of a hard nibble lol.

I once got carried away and found out how seriously He did not like being bitten as His reflex reaction left my head ringing lol.

So I would say the norm would probably be more at your end of the spectrum than mine.

warm smiles

i like biting and being bitten but ithas to be done kinda artfully. Most men i have ever been with respond real well to bein bitten lightly on their inner thighs when getting very vigorous fellatio. i like to vary activities down there for increased sensation. worls best if he is near nutting. A number of lovers i have had liked biting me,not sucking like a hickey just in a sort of way of enjoying my body when gettin very impassioned. I think its just natural in the animal world to bite a little. not necessarily hard. I have had Doms and vanilla lovers do this.

SusanofO,
With respect to ExSteelAgain's answer about things getting out of hand and germs.
If you are into biting, it can be very erotic.  Seems everywhere I turn on these boards, someone is reminding me of my last session and dang it, flash back, I'm right there again and it was OMFG wonderful.
Of course, both of us are into it and we were careful not to break any skin no matter how hard or hot it got.  The worse thing was that I had to wear a turtleneck to work for a few days and a funny look from my doctor at an appointment I forgot.  LOL
It is not for everyone, I guess.  If you are squeemish, just keep talking about it.  You can always start really slow and increase pressure.  You'd be suprised at how many endorphins your body puts out during play like that though.
Of course, I wouldn't suggest anything intense AFTER you start coming down.

(thanks for the flash back, I need a cold shower...insert evil laugh)

Mistress Psy-  who really, really needs to bites some...one now, dang it.

Sir loves it and i hate it.
It HURTS
Guess that is one reason he likes it.

He holds back some one me i have notice, i'm wiggling and crying out long before a bite mark is left or a bruise is made. but on others who don't yell so quick he will leave marks.

Yes, I am a BIG whimp. I hate pain.

seeksfemslave -> RE: How do people feel about Biting as a bdsm activity? (2/15/2007 2:47:50 AM)

Have virtually no experience of biting but I must admit the idea turns me on in circumstances when I should be serious.
For example I just read a newspaper report about the two female neighbours in dispute . Both quite mature, ie not young. One had the top of her finger bitten off.
Should I have been concerned? Well I wasn't, I was excited.

Likewise with watching young girls having a vicious cat fight, hair pulling, scratchng kicking etc. never seen one in real life only on TV street crime programmes.
Am I bad ?

Yes

Caitriona -> RE: How do people feel about Biting as a bdsm activity? (2/15/2007 4:23:20 AM)

If I am properly "worked up" then My Lord can bite me during play and it works wonderfully as a pain/pleasure stimulator.  But he likes to bite and often I am not in the right place when he does it, so I find it more painful and bothersome than he would prefer.

SimplyMichael -> RE: How do people feel about Biting as a bdsm activity? (2/15/2007 4:24:24 AM)

I often play without toys and the mouth can create so many sensations.  I am firmly in the "I love biting" camp!

As for germs, never EVER had an issue with infection...

I adore being bitten and occasionally bite, quite hard apparently lol.

Unfortunately (well, not really unfortunately) I'll be with my sub this weekend and not my playmate.  Said chosen doesn't mind bite playing but he can't be bitten as hard and does not bite back as hard,  oh well....I'll just have to up his tolerance level I guess....[sm=evil.gif]
I really need to get off this subject if I'm to act human at work in a few hours..

I love to be bitten hard....not necessarily  breaking the skin and drawing blood, but hard enough to leave bruises..
Also...i enjoy biting fairly hard. It seems to be the only painful act i enjoy performing on another.
It just feels incredibly primal.

Bon Apetite...

I don't think you're bad...(insert evil laugh)  In fact, too bad you weren't at the club we were at Sat night, you'd have really gotten the idea of erotic biting.  So many people wanted to play after that, I think the whole place was "on".  Of course, it may just be because it was out of the "norm" there and not just another flogging.

And now I REALLY need to get off.....the subject (insert evil laugh again)
Thanks for the flash back- again, and again
I need another cold shower.

Thanks for all of the replies so far, people. Maybe I should add that I can enjoy this, as long as it's not too hard.

So you are kind of in the "yes" camp too then?

I find that "too hard" is a matter of taste (lol)

Well, yes, it's kind of a sexy thing to do - I guess - provided it's not too hard. I also have to be very attracted to the person who is biting me. I think my Daddy would do it and not hurt me, he'd know just how far to go, I'd think (I hope. We haven't tried it yet). But chomping or drawing blood is definitely out for me.
