Valyraen -> RE: How do people feel about Biting as a bdsm activity? (2/15/2007 7:47:34 AM)

I'm not really into hardcore biting, most of the time - the exception to that being when I put in my fangs. Got a lovely little pair of removeable canine caps made for me a few months back, and they're fully pointy enough to break skin with enough pressure. I put those on, and there's a guarantee I'll be leaving painfully red pinpoints. Generally, though, I don't like giving serious bites... I've been bitten in the past, by humans and animals in a non-play situation, and they hurt. I don't have a problem at all with nibbling, even giving a few strong nips here and there. However, being nibbled on makes me extremely squirmy, because there are someone's teeth in places that could do a serious amount of damage. Perhaps it's a trust issue with me, or just a trained-in response (self-trained, mind you - my little brother and I fought a lot, sometimes viciously) to a potential threat... I'm not sure. However, I know from past experience that a strong nip gets my blood up and sends adrenaline coursing through me in the bad, "make the biting thing unable to bite by ripping off its lower jaw" kind of way, and I've warned my sub about doing that, and why. So, yes, I've done biting, and it drives my sub crazy, particularly when I'm wearing fangs (which, now that I think about it, I've got to put in again), but I'm hardline against being bitten or anything more serious than a delicate little nibble.
