*laughs*  Well, full-figured does make me think of 18-hour bras.

I'm also not sure of Rubenesque.  I've been described as such because I'm not bone-thin, but I've also seen women much, much larger who've also been described that way.  I think it might be too broad a term.  (Puns, intended. )

Personally, I like voluptuous.

actually, yes, i have seen a great many larger women nude. and a great many have NOT been curvy, tho of course some are, i suspect those women would be curvy regardless of their weight. fat does not = curves, just as slender does not = lack of curves, that's all i'm saying.

my mother was short, about 5 feet, and i would guess she weighed 250. "fat" if you will. her large breasts and portruding stomach did not make curves, rather they just added some lumps to her otherwise rectangular form. not to mention her butt, which defied all logic in its supreme flatness. how, exactly, is that curvy? now, i can think of some larger women who i'd define as curvy...many plus sized fashion models are curvy, for example, because being proportionate is important in that industry, regardless of one's size. and that's what curvy is about anyway...a proportionate, feminine silhouette?? if a protruding stomach is all it takes to define onself as "curvy" then the many men out there with huge beer guts also qualify, right?

To me, it's no different then a bony girl calling herself slender. She's not slender, she's skinny with points but that doesn't sound nice and it doesn't feel nice to say.

I suppose an overweight man could call himself curvy. It would be amusing...

this might be slightly off topic, but i've always wondered, why are overweight, even significantly overweight, women often referred to, and refer to themselves, as curvy?? fat does not equal curves. i know of a great many overweight women who possess not a single curve...zero hips, no discernible waist, butt as flat as a board. in fact, i can think of many more thin or slender women who are curvy. so where did the overweight=curvy thing come from??

I have to agree with you - I think curvy is more a function of genetics and some people having naturally a smaller waist and larger hips creating that curve along the side of the body.  I've seen fat women that are flat as a board and skinny women as flat as a board - I haven't found that skinny women are any more curvy than fat women are.

Personally in my family, particularly on my fathers side curves do run in the family, and it does have its perks but its also annoying when pants are always loose in the waist and way to tight in the hips.

But no, fat does not equal curves.

C~

Edited to add: I wouldn't ever use curvy as a primary description of myself - I think curvey describes the way the body is structured (like pear shaped) - while fat, thin has more to do with BMI and poundage.

As an aside though seekstofasn8adom, you're a little bit of an attention whore me thinks.  You already had a thread saying some people like a lil meat on their women  (http://www.collarchat.com/m_802457/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm) concurrent with the fat thread, but you still felt compelled to start this one.  WHY???    M

LOL got it in one I think. I have seen many similar posts from this person on a certain website. Attention whore is too subtle I think. Anyway his profile there has been deleted as I think so many people were fed up with the ridiculous topics coming up all the time.

Wonder how long he will last here

believe me, there's nothing wrong with fat women, i've some of the best sex with fat women. try this.
1. there's no such thing as an ugly woman.
2. some women know how to fuck better than others.
3. the only reason i kick a woman out of bed is because there's more fucking room on the floor.

As a fat girl myself, I'm going to agree that I've seen some fat women who were NOT curvy. I myself am curvey, but I was curvey at a size 3 and I'm still curvey as a size 14. I always had large hips and big boobs. I have seen some other plus size ladies who were flat to begin with (both in boobs and butt) and are STILL flat now that they are bigger. They don't look curvy...just sort of lumpy.

I tend to think that some people carry their weight better than others....those with naturally big hips and boobs tend to stay curvy when they gain weight and those who were naturally smaller framed tend to not look as good with more weight.

That's why two people can weight the same, be the same height, etc and one can LOOK a lot lighter than the other. My aunt and I weigh the same and are the same height....but people routinely estimate that I am at least 20-40lbs lighter than she is. Go figure.

true GeekyGirl, although i will say that i think one can be curvy without large breasts (and also have breasts and not be curvy). i think the main thing is having that certain waist-hip differential.

Daddysprop, I disagree on that part...but then breasts are a "big deal" to me. I don't even find a woman attractive unless she's a C cup or better (preferably D.) I think curveyness has to do with both breasts and butt being bigger than waist. Other wise, you get those pear shaped people, and I don't find them curvey.

Even at my biggest, my waist measurement is smaller than my bust (I tend to run about 45-40-48.

A good 10" between waist and hips here.  :)

Magdalena...that's it! i read somewhere years ago that 10 inches was the ideal, but i couldn't remember the exact number until you just mentioned it. you're a lucky girl.

GeekyGirl, it's understandable, boobs are a big deal to a lot of folks. actually, boobs are a big deal to me too, just in the reverse. i'm a b cup, and always wished my breasts were smaller. at 34b, my breasts are the largest of any submissive or slave my Master has ever had, so i'm somewhat self-conscious about it (He adores tiny breasts). i think a woman generally looks thinner with smaller breasts, whereas even a thin woman can look fat in clothes if she has large (natural) breasts. i also tend to associate small breasts with being dainty and delicate, something i've always admired and strived for, but unfortunately doesn't come naturally to me. but BOT, you mentioned pear shaped...i would describe either an hourglass or pear shaped figure as curvy.
