it seems that mine is the same as most others who have responded - my worst personal punishment would be the lack of attention or communication with my Dom - i strive not to disappoint him or annoy him to the point that he would punish me in that way - i can think of no physical punishment that would be more painful

Cliche' sounding as it is, nothing feels worse to me than his anger with me. From there, he can do anything; I just want to be back in his good graces again. Nothing he could inflict on me feels worse than that sinking feeling in my gut. Physcially worse, maybe, but the emotional pain from angering him is hands down the hardest to deal with.

Hmmm ... with my hubbie being in Iraq ... if I anger or upset him he simply hangs up ... and since I have no way to contact him I am at his mercy until he calls again or comes online ... and not having that interaction and knowing that he's not half as upset as I am ... it kills me. And once I had to write a phrase 2500 times ... and it ABSOLUTELY sucked ... so I avoid that at all costs now.

Divorce. No, never mind. That wasn't punishement. I used to be of the mind that being ignored was the worst until I was shown that sometimes that was far superior to other things that were used. I'd rather have a dominant withdraw from me than guilt me and use me to pump up their own self-esteem at the risk of my mental well-being.

Mine is if he uses a stern voice and tells me that i will be punished, than i know what will happen and i don't want to go through his punishment ever. i've experienced it first hand the other day and now i know the tone of his voice and the consequence. But also him not talking to me or putting me in a corner and ignoring me is another huge thing for me.

I wonder how many doms, when they enforce the "ignore" punishment, also force the slave to be grounded so they can't go online and commisserate/brag/gain condolence from their friends or online peeps?

Just knowing i have displeased Master in some way is the worse punishment. The emotional pain is so much worse then any physical pain.

I have went through the "ignore" thing in a past relationship... I just can't do that anymore for long periods of time. If he needs to get his head together, think about things, decide what he wants to do before we talk... that is one thing... but I have "ignoring me" as a hard limit how. I just have too many issues I guess, and that feeds into a primal one for me.

Because of my childhood abuse issues (being ignored for up to a week at a time was not uncommon), Master will not ignore me. It is his goal to bring me closer to him, rather than pushing me away and into the land of withdrawl. He has, however, grounded me from some online stuff before, in the early days.

Most of the time it's just lazy doms who don't know how to effectively train and want to get the sub all worked up about not having the connection and scared to lose it that they don't notice the problems in the relationship itself.
