Mine was prolly kneeling on uncooked rice! Ouch it hurts!  Not likin that at all!! i still have a scar on my knee from last time. [&:] What i dont like about it is that it makes me angry inside as the punishment is happening and i need to be able to control that anger. That's hard.

I was very clear from the beginning that incentives and rewards are a much better motivator for me than punishment, so I can count on my fingers the times I have been punished.  It is not something either of us enjoys.

For me a spanking is a reward rather than a punishment (so is flogging) so punishing me is difficult at best.  Add the fact that my relationship with NChaka is long distance, and my Master's options are indeed limited.  Most of our contact is via video on the internet, so one "punishment" is no cam or audio and going back to text only. He has only used that twice, and once He had me turn my cam on but He did not.  He has also stood me in the corner where I was in view of the cam, but only for short periods of time to reinforce an idea.  When we were together, there was one instance when I greatly disappointed Him and He went for walk without telling me He was leaving.  When He returned after 15-20 minutes, I was terrified that He was going to remove His collar.  Seeing how upset I was, He promised me then that He would not leave me without telling me again and that He would not remove His collar in anger.  Most generally, just knowing He is not pleased (before He even gets to *dis*pleased) is all I need to correct my behavior.

Are you sure it was the words he couldnt find.
Sounds like he was lacking a couple of other things.
That's just wrong.

As a person specifically I -thrive- on touch. I literally need human contact. If I don't get it I break down and hard. (It happened last night and I haven't told m'Lady yet.) I need touch like I need air. As a slave I need to be touched by the person I submit to. And when they don't touch me I start running through every bad thing I've done that could merit such action.

I'd have to say, for me, its the "silent treatment" type punishments.

Not being able to talk to her, or be in Her general company (Keep this one fact in mind - I've never been owne/collared) Pretty much full own disownment, even if its temporary.

LOL actually just got it last week as a birthday present :)  I had to go look up the actual episode and title, but I knew the circumstances and season number.  Heehee.

Hmmm ... with my hubbie being in Iraq ... if I anger or upset him he simply hangs up ... and since I have no way to contact him I am at his mercy until he calls again or comes online ... and not having that interaction and knowing that he's not half as upset as I am ... it kills me.
 
And once I had to write a phrase 2500 times ... and it ABSOLUTELY sucked ... so I avoid that at all costs now.


OMG I light just went off in my head! I remember a punishment way back in grammar school, I had to write 350 lines of....."I will obey.....blah blah..." first off... now the spelling of the word Obey....always just looks funny......second off....I wonder if that helped bring me to this arena.
 
But...to the OP..when on the phone talking to my x-Dom...crying and upset...about something serious .....about our relationship....He says "I  can't handle this..." and hangs up on me. It really brings out a good tear duct cleaning.

The absolute worse punishment so far was for him to simply say " Im not mad at you, Im just very disappointed in you". I think death by any torture is preferable to hearing that he is disappointed in me.

I think the not being touched thing is one of my worst.  He made me sit right in front of him and then just ignored me for the duration of the punishment.  I was a total wreck by the end.  The touch is like breathing comment was right on.

Aqua, I will not let your english major comment spoil our friendship.  lol

For me its knowing the disappointment I have caused. Nothing he could do could make me feel any worse or punish me more.

In my mind, being ignored/separated causes a loss of intimacy and/or connection between Daddy and I - he usually doesn't ignore me or leave me alone save for very short periods of time (time-outs). He wants me to learn from a mistake... not cause the me or, more importantly, the relationship, anguish. I wouldn't learn anything from being left alone other than the fact that Daddy just doesn't want to bother with me or be around me... and that, in the long, would hurt 'us' and not just me. It sort of misses the whole point.

I usually end up with a very tedious and hideously boring task as a punishment. Because the task generally only requires a minimal amount of thought, I am able to think about what I did and figure out how to do it better the next time. It causes me to focus on bettering my behaviour and not the pain and misery I might feel if Daddy decided to leave me alone for hours or a day.

It's the worst punishment... but also the best one, for me.

for me, it's the wooden paddle...not sure why, but wooden paddles have always been my least favorite...at least physically.

The worst: a look of disappointment.  Second worst: being stuck in a corner with a gag in my mouth or stuck in a corner and told to be quiet.

Pain doesn't bother me much.

For me, it's refusing to provide aftercare following a scene or punishment.
