ORIGINAL: juliaoceania Why reward her bad behavior by sexualizing punishment? Is there a reason for that? Perhaps in this sub's case it would not be a reward, but from what I have read one can create a pain slut SAM by giving sexual punishments... it would seem to reinforce disrespectful behavior, not curb it... perhaps I just do not get it? I've never heard of that? Can a person with no maschocistic tendancies be turned into someone with them through the use of punishment? I would imagine it would take some serious effort and time for that transition or is it common? I do not think personally that it is always possible, but someone can learn to associate pain with pleasure in a Pavlovian sense. I have heard of masochists being created this way. Basically arousing someone and then inflicting pain on them can create a connection between pleasure and pain. To me a "sexual" punishment designed to create arousal from pain is indeed associating an arousal state with pain. My Daddy's first submissive was into acting out to get pain, it was how her former dominant trained her. She was a SAM, she learned that acting out got her a fix, and this was something my Daddy refused to give her when she misbehaved. Had her former dominant not trained this into her she may have learned a different approach to getting a pain fix, but anger was a core component of her arousal. It might have been inate to her, but from what she told him he tended to think it had been trained into her. Who knows. I am sure that it does not happen to everyone, but it certainly can. We are complex beings, but the framework of our mind tends to associate one thing with other things.. it is how we understand our universe.
