Good post. I know there's a guy right around the corner from me, on the next block. I don't have unmentionables, but if I did I'd be watching them a lot closer than I was before he moved in (he's classified as a pedophile). I knew this before (he moved in last Summer, and he actually registered as a sex offender, which of course not all of them do when they move, regardless of the fact it's required here). In my town, there is currently a movement to extend the 2000 ft. law (they can't live closer to a school than 2000 ft. away) to out-right banishment, and there is a big civil rights question that seems to be arising. I am not sure how I feel about this, actually, and can see both sides of the issue, to a degree anyway. Everyone seems to be for that here (Nebraska) until they figure out that all they are doing is pushing these guys (and gals) into the next neighboring town (and then those folks who live there are of course, objecting to that). I mean, they do have to live somewhere - but if I had an unmentionable and this guy was next-door, justified or not, I know I'd probably be nervous. I've been raped before, and I know they never caught the man who did it (at least not to my knowledge). I'd want to know if he was living in my neighborhood if they had, though. I mean, I know it's horrible, probably, to be labelled that way but hell - don't do the crime, if you don't want the label. - Susan
