I thought that the movie Snatch ...was absolutely fabulous.

Say what you want about Brad Pitt ...the man is incredible with accents.

Ever hear his Jamaican Accent in Meet Joe Black ?  Brilliant....

LOL not to sound predictable but the Lord of the Rings top my list.

Followed by The Aliens and Predator movies

For mainstream movies anyways.

For foreign films Subway, Hard Boiled are particular favorites

It's so hard to narrow it down but when i think of my favorite movies, it has to be the ones that i have memorized, that i can repeat the dialogue word-for-word from, and that i would stop and watch again at anytime if i saw them while flipping through the channels...lol.....
 
The top 5 would be:  The Shining, Outlaw Josey Wales, Fargo, Behind Enemy Lines, and House of 1,000 corpses.  Not exactly high-brow, i know, but hey, i'm being honest here   [8D]  slave luci

How many others though would put The Warriors and the original Assault on Precint 13 up there? Now those were kick ass movies.

Once Upon a Time In America <<< my birth family to a "T/t"

there are just too many good movies thru my years to pick just one ...

Ok dont laugh. Mine is "The Black Stallion". I grew up on an arabian horse farm and raise and breed them. Good horse movies always touch my heart, especially ones about arabian horses.

Casablanca, hands down.  Heck, it's the only movie poster I've ever owned...covering my fuse box as I type. [:)]

Also love the LotR trilogy, Forrest Gump, & Star Wars IV and VI.  And I agree with happypervert, Hero was breathtaking both visually and for the intricate weaving of the storyline(s).  For sheer ass-kicking catharsis (at the end of one of those[sm=sodoff.gif] days...) I'd also throw in Kill Bill and Natural Born Killers.  And because I'm a b-movie junkie, honorable mention goes out to The Crawling Eye as well.
