But the brush has many points.

WyrdRich -> RE: 2008 US Presidential Elections (3/14/2007 7:32:31 PM)

Maybe these will become official in her campaign...

At the moment, I'm kinda hoping Al Gore will run.

Thank you for your words, WyrdRich.

There is another aspect to it, however.  On the one hand, she could rehire all of her husband's brain trust and actually do good things for a change.  We could use 4 years of somebody with a brain in the White House.

Will Sandy Berger be off parole by then?
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A16706-2005Mar31.html

Or several others that come to mind....

On the other hand there is something distastefully dynastic about electing another Clinton to high office.  Her husband hand crafted his entire life prior to election with the goal in mind that he wanted to become president of the United States.  So I wonder whether the woman he married has a similar bent to her personality.  I am always a trifle dubious about people who want me to like and respect them.

I suspect Al Gore finally fired his image consultants and started to show he has strong ideals and a personality, and people actually relate to that.  Even if people dont necessarily agree with the message, people tend to respect somebody that actually has a message.

You were kind enough to put words to my sense of unease about McCain, Sinergy, allow me to try and repay that.

Hillary is smart, shrewd, ruthless and a little paranoid.  It's Nixon with a vagina.

Have you trademarked this yet or can I make up bumperstickers now?

lol

I really should stop giving these things away for free, shouldn't I?

I hadn't seen this one, but it reproduces results I've seen elsewhere.  If Hillary gets the nomination, I may have to just move into a Faraday Cage.

Damn! I could have made a small fortune selling those hats to the Moonbats at the Democratic National Convention in Boston in 2004!
I should have saved some of the pictures of  some of those people that were in the newspaper attending that DNC!
Ever see that movie with Jack Nickolson, "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest?"

With the primary situation being so early it could make a good run for an Independant since the campaign will be limited earlier than usual. I'm expecting someone jumping ship and running on their own from either party.

It could happen, Archer.  Right now, I'd bet for an anti-war split with the Dems but I don't imagine a viable 3rd party just yet.  '12 maybe.

subfever -> RE: 2008 US Presidential Elections (3/14/2007 10:12:40 PM)

I've been leaning towards Ron (Mr. Constitution) Paul. But I've been looking closer at Dennis (Beholden to No One) Kucinich.

I sure would feel a lot better if Paul ran as an independent or 3rd Party candidate. While I do understand his thinking that more can be accomplished with the backing of a major party, I can't help but wonder who he will wind up beholden to.

Admittedly, I haven't looked closely at Tancredo yet.

cyberdude611 -> RE: 2008 US Presidential Elections (3/14/2007 11:22:25 PM)

There is also word that Ralph Nader may be running again.

Like I said before, if he runs and the Iraq war is still going on the same way it is right now....he's going to get 15-20% of the popular vote. And that's going to turn the entire election on its head. The GOP could win the White House will less than 40% of the vote.

You guys are pretty damn funny, accusing Hillary of being paranoid. [;)][;)]

Well let's see, a typical day for Hillary.
Hillary wakes up, checks under the bed for members of the "Vast right wing conspiracy."
Breakfast, shit, shower and shave, sets alarm in house to make sure members of the "Vast right wing conspiracy" don't bug her office.
Gets in Limo, has driver check in the trunk for members of the "Vast right wing conspiracy."
...

farglebargle -> RE: 2008 US Presidential Elections (3/15/2007 2:43:39 AM)

I'd call criminals who violate 18 USC 371 "Conspiring". All we need is ONE Federal Prosecutor to bring it to a Grand Jury, and they go to Federal Prison.

Good thing they replaced all the US Attorneys who looked like they weren't going to play ball.

Wonder if that'll help? Looks like Al Gonzalez is getting tossed under a bus. Who was the last AG to be convicted?

a 3 way vote can upset a race bigtime. Nader- or teh green party has some good ideas.

no matter how you slice it - things will shhift left of current neocon rule.

also- remember the golden rule- he who owns teh gold makes the rules.....
so- no matter who the puppet is- the rich and powerful will pull teh strings.

and we get to bend over.
