ORIGINAL: farglebargle This morning, in her testimony under oath before the House Government and Oversight Committee, Valerie Plame Wilson asserted that she was in fact a covert officer at the time that columnist Robert Novak revealed her employment at the CIA. “In the run-up to the war with Iraq, I worked in the Counterproliferation Division of the CIA, still as a covert officer whose affiliation with the CIA was classified,” Plame sad in her opening testimony. She added, “While I helped to manage and run secret worldwide operations against this WMD target from CIA headquarters in Washington, I also traveled to foreign countries on secret missions to find vital intelligence.” Watch it: http://thinkprogress.org/2007/03/16/plame-covert-testimony The lead prosecutor in the Scooter Libby trial admitted in his closing statement that his real target was Dick Cheney, but determined in his investigation that Scooter Libby was stepping up to take the bullet for his boss. It would be interesting if the committee in question decides to file formal charges against Shotgun. Sinergy hmmmmmmmm. Cheney has been VERRY quiet lately. whatup. Hilarious article in Rolling Stone last week by Matt Taibbi called "Dick has a rough week." Apparently, he made a junket out of town so he would not be around when Libby got convicted. On his world tour... Air Force 2, the Spirit of Strom Thurmond, broke down. A suicide bomber tried to kill him in Pakistan, but only succeeded in killing 26 secret service agents. He pissed off the Chinese by telling them the US was worried about China's military build-up, Considering the United States now spends more on our military than every other country on the planet COMBINED, I can understand China's annoyance. He insulted the Japanese defense minister and then retreated to the safety of a US warship. The list goes on. I would say it couldnt happen to a nicer guy, but from what I have read about Cheney, the words nice dont belong in a sentence with him without negation statements.
