All righty here we go!

Do you feel you are giving yourself a fair representation of your personality, thoughts, and ideas in your posts?

Is the manner in which you post reflective of what people will see when/if they meet you in real life?

Do you sweeten the pot when you post, chat, cam or phone?

And last but not least…. *drum roll*
Have you met someone that was contrary to how they present themselves online?

Eeeeeeks what a question!  I think I come off sounding like I do in RL, but I also know I'm alot quieter in RL but more of a goof ball too.

I am pretty much the same on and offline. I post things as I see them and don't sugar coat things. What is the point? I have got to the stage in my life where I do not really care what other people think of me as long as Master and my family are happy with me.

I may be a submissive female but I am no doormat and I will say what I think. Just as in real life I believe in telling it like it is and never gossiping behind someones back.

Apart from all that I can sometimes be nice, maybe, perhaps, one day, if you are lucky.

I went on a first meet with a man who claimed to be 40. He was closer to 60 and his pic had to be at least 15 years old. (Ya live ya learn)

I think my profile is a fair representation. As far as how I post...........well it depends on the day.

It used to be. I have changed alot in the past year or so; not as angry or quick to judge.

Nope. What you see and hear is what you get

Personality wise, I'm just like I post once you get to know me.  I'm very shy in the beginning though.  Appearance wise,  actually have very large ears, a humped back, warts in the most inconvenient of places and a tucked away dick.  Other than that, I look just like I do in my pics.

Yes, but I don't think that is an unusual experience.  I was told a few lies topped with a few omissions.  I learned a lot from that experience.

Do you feel you are giving yourself a fair representation of your personality, thoughts, and ideas in your posts?

Mostly.

Not until they really get to know me and we become very socially close.  It's the same me, just expressed in a different manner.
quote:

The opposite.

I've met people who put themselves across as something online but which I knew was crap before and after meeting.

I'm a lot quieter offline, I don't like to interrupt, I have problems hearing, and I go into social conversation mode which for me means to avoid sensitive topics and keep everything smiling and happy.

I'm also less like a shark and more like a bunny :)  This is my place for intellectual discourse, I devour it hungrily.  Offline I'm just a bouncy happy bunny chick going with the flow.

Oh Hell... I wish I could somehow cram and download myself online.  I try as much as I can in the things I express online.  Still I find it somewhat cold and is only a partial representation of me in person.

I find it difficult to be somebody I'm not be it online or real time.  If somebody does not like me, well fuck it... I'm not out to kiss anybody's ass.  lol...  Though I do love kissing ass literally, even more so when it's at the end of my flogger. LOL...

Yes. Who I am on the inside is much better represented when I write...because I have time to think about it and don't often answer in a knee-jerk reaction. Hmmm...maybe that's not quite right. Maybe I project who I WANT to be more in writing? Oh hell, fuck if I know.

quote:

Is the manner in which you post reflective of what people will see when/if they meet you in real life?

Not always. I'm much more apt to be blunt in person because I don't have the filter engaged that comes with writing. I'm much more...diplomatic? empathic? compassionate?...as a writer a lot of the time. In person, I sometimes have to really try to not simply look at a person and say, "So?" or "That's a stupid ass question." I do mutter these things before I 'spout my wisdom' on the boards sometimes. *chuckle* But, I've noticed that as I've practiced these thought patterns while writing, they are becoming more and more easy to do in my head before I speak. I think that's a good thing...I want to be diplomatic, empathic and compassionate when it comes to helping people. Even so, bluntness and brashness will still be the core of my humor.

Perhaps a better answer is to ask some of the people who have met me or know me offline if this is who I am? Do I really want to know? LOL

Not deliberately.

Have you met someone that was contrary to how they present themselves online?

Yes. Mostly, it's physically. But, sometimes I meet people who don't know how to "emote" in chat or IM and so they come across as very serious OR totally rude (when they're trying to be sarcastic or something). These people are usually quite charming and funny in person.

Yes I have met two people who were vastly different in realtime than they were online. After having met more than I can count from online at munches-club-party and the Fetish Flea, I don' think two rottens is all that bad.

I don't know, to be honest. I'm not sure how I come across to others in my posts but I think I'd appear FAR more shy and reserved if I was face to face with a person, until I was familiar( which takes quite a time).

On the surface of it, I think I may appear far more *sorted* and confident in some ways, than I actually am. I'm quite scatty in real-life and throw caution to the wind a fair bit. Anyone that met me would see this *me* but they'd see a very different *me* running alongside it.

How I appear here, is certainly how I am, but there's certainly a lot that I don't represent. Basically, this is me in a forum, but the other stuff would definitely *colour me in* a fair bit differently.

I haven't met anyone that was vastly different to their online persona, no.

Nope, English is not my first language, so I can´t always express myself as I would want to.

aside of language barriers, yes.

No again.
