I might have to give it a shot if I ever get around to finishing Arkham Aslym. Once I hit the level cap in LoTRO. And finish Dead Rising....

Damn it, the rest of the world needs to have a pause button so I can game more!

ok i broke down and bought WoW and i don't see why it's so great. LOL. i bought a 2 month card so it can't get my visa.  i play as a blood elf priestess and  i'm on the server Madoran. vitulli is her name.

Honestly, I like EverQuest 2 MUCH MUCH better than WoW. There are over 9,000 quests in the game, it's not linear - you choose what to do and in what order to do it, where to travel and explore. The visuals are lush, the combat animations appropriately kick-butt-theater, and there's a wide range of classes and races you can choose from.

Admittedly, I haven't tried EQ2 (mostly because trying to play more than one MMO at a time, with my slight trouble with getting addicted to gaming, does NOT go well), but I tried WoW, haven't ever really been impressed with it, and promptly picked up Lord of the Rings Online - and I'm so very happy I did. It makes me squee on a deep and personal level.

If you guys ever want to check out EQ2, tell me and I will get you a recruit-a-friend invite, which gives you all the expansions and adventure packs through Rise of Kunark and a 14-day free trial to experiment with the game..

I tried installing LotRO, but my computer wouldn't run it.  I am pretty sure I'm graphic-free till I get the extra memory installed.  But I like my text-based MUD.  Easy to run, and it's more like an interactive book. 

Does anyone know if Rhodes has gotten his game up and running yet?

Being a bit of a switch, I have never brought my lifestyle into my gaming.  However I have always been extremly competitive there.  I play WoW.   I enjoy the challenge.  I dont know if I would want to give that over to someone else.  I think thats the A type personality in me :)

I play EQ on the 51/50 server, although I have been busy with work and havent played lately.  My house is ALL gamers.  My son got his WoW taken away for giving me an attitude, and my husband plays EVE and Dragons something or other (PC but not online).    I've played EQ2 (beta was MUCH better than it is now), WoW, AO, SWG, Vanguard, and probably a dozen more than that.  I always go back to EQ.  In EQ I am always a barbarian shaman and usually end up controlling something... class officer, raid leader, etc.  I guess its just me :)

We play WoW...avidly. So. Very. Addicted.  I can't help but create new characters...at least once a month.  I've been curious about LotR Online and Everquest, but my wife (who got me into MMORPG's) swears WoW is the best and I haven't been willing to invest the money to try others...yet.  But when I think of all the different characters I could create in THOSE games.......

LotRO has a 10-day free trial, and has none (or at least not much) of the annoyingness in WoW.

Feel free to give it a whack (pun intended), and we're on Brandywine.

Greetings..

We've played all of those, and just left LOTR right after the latest expansion came out. I'm not sure if were just burnt out after the initial excitement of playing the original EQ wore off or the games themselves are just not offering the right combo of things to keep our interest beyond about 6 months. We did EQ2 twice, and still couldn't be entertained beyond 6 months. It is sad..lol..we have all these games now from rpg to mmorpgs laying around collecting dust.

I was hoping Aion would be our savior but to many reports came back that achieving max end game status could be done in 2 weeks or so. :(
Even more sad is Master is back to revisiting old panzer games, and we now are just networking between us to play Rise of Nations..*which to me is really a good game for its age.*

Something good needs to come out soon cause I need my fix.

I have to second that Dead Space is a good game.The story is interesting and it is definitively jumpy, though in a good way, not in the cheap effects and sound through the roof way. I would recommend seeing the animated movie to, it is interesting and give allot of back story. Dead Space is an attempt by the publishers to tell a story over several different media, and I think it works well.

Greetings..

Okay retried Horizons for a day, and although the playing a dragon class is cool, and the housing aspects are cool..we couldn't handle the loading/zoning time, and some of the graphic issues. I really hate when Master disappears completely under the road or hills and I loose him..lol.

So now we are going to give Conan another try. It was graphically beautiful when we first tried it but lacked content connection (as in what the hell to do next once you got out of the beginning stages), and the lag was unbearable. With pc upgrades since then and time..it seems to be running really nice and still looks great.

So who are the other Conan players out there?

Never tried Conan. It looked interesting but never really grabbed me, ya know? Lemme know how you like it this second time around. [:)]
