I agree John. If you want that much from another person in this sort of a discipline-the one requiring it needs to have the most.. And that includes direction, follow through, and clarity of expectation and reward. Masters connot, by the very definition of mastery-be flakes. If someone obviously does not have it together-they are not worth submitting to-it's a waste of time and energy.

Are you foolish to think that subs dont test the waters, time is not our friend, and neither is neglect. If you dont have time to devote to your sub, then make it, if you cant, then perhaps you need to reevaluate your responcibilities as a Dom. If she cant fulfill her position unto your rules, then perhaps she needs to clarify within herself where she is going. Punishment can be used in such a way as to bring you closer together or it can push you apart. For whatever reason, the slave wasn't very attuned to her Master. I have to ask if the best way to fix that is to cast around for ideas on things to do to her. Bringing herself to the brink sexually but not cumming for 50 days and some additional things like kneeling on rice or kittylitter...I don't mean to be rude but masterful control is not the message reacting like that gives. The 50 days is very un-enforcable and also very difficult to do(a little realism here) so you're giving her an enormous temptation to fail one way or another. Kneeling on rice more than a short time is difficult for many people, almost impossible for some. If you told her to do these things without an intimate knowledge of her limits in both areas, shame on you. Set up to fail, a person withdraws in subtle ways and becomes manipulative and bad behavior patterns are set in place. I think the consensus opinion that she was wanting your attention, testing limits and needing to feel master's hand was correct. And she pretty much got her way; now she has master paying attention and jumping through all kinds of hoops to give her a lesson. For me the most effective punishment would be for Her to see right through me, to know me with that degree of intimacy down to my core and be disappointed with me. Physical punishment would then be a way of penitence, a mercy of atonement and cleansing tears that might or might not be granted.
